He even looked at him before doing. Just a total moment of madnessAccidents don't mean a player cannot get red carded. Besides, it wasn't an accident
Oh i've definitely been critical of him. He could do way more for his overall game, but he's very much a box player who does, as you say, player much better with Rashford.Give him a chance and he’s lethal, agreed, but he seems not to find opportunities as often as many other strikers, and I feel a lack of midfield laying it on a plate for him is only part of the issue. Different player with Rashford around.
If you're not a lawyer, it's a damn shameMaybe he could make a case that he thought Batshuayi was going to fall on top of him and so reflexively pushed out to prevent that, but he's very fortunate.
illOut of the loop here, but where is Lindeloff? Bailly gives me a heart attack
VAR reviewed Son's red card when Gomes broke his leg and said it was a red card. Spurs appealed and the ban was overturned. Very different circumstances as it's the other way around.Thats a good point. Its already been reviewed. Are retrospective reds a thing of the past now?
Phil JonesNah, holding the ball up is one of his strengths. It’s being a fox in the box that’s his weakness.
Wait, who are we talking about...?
He's been fantastic! He's been bad, but still better than Bruno and James
It's also 1-0 to United. And Maguire should have been sent off. You're welcomeThanks for the update.
I love clutching at straws, that's a big aspect of my real job
Are you a farmer?
Thanks
And Bats was falling into him. Totally accidentalIts natural to put out your arm and legs out when your falling backwards down.
No way a Red, He wasnt even looking at the chelsea player.
The Chelsea player and the bench were looking for a Red.
He wasn't falling though was he, he was laid on the floor, stop clutching at strawsIts natural to put out your arm and legs out when your falling backwards down.

He's actually been pretty decent on the ball, just hasn't been able to see enough of it. It's his 2nd game in a completely new country, with a different set of team mates - some of whom aren't good enough, the others won't have figured out how he plays yet and what positions he takes up. He's the last person anyone should be even mildly critical about. No one is writing him off but he has done about nothing today. He should do a lot more that's we're just thinking.
He kicked out and extended his leg, its a clear redIts natural to put out your arm and legs out when your falling backwards down.

How would you score him so far? In general I’ve got him on a 5 but if he has got the winner then after a fashion job done really!Oh i've definitely been critical of him. He could do way more for his overall game, but he's very much a box player who does, as you say, player much better with Rashford.
How are people missing this ?He wasn't falling though was he, he was laid on the floor, stop clutching at straws
It's a red card, they got it wrong, whatever move on...
Winning the ball back isnt the striker his job. His hold up is usually fine. Rashford made good use of it for example. He isnt pressing and chasing every ball but he does try to block passing lanes.Martial just isn't good at the basics of hold up play, attitude, pressing, and hunger to win the ball back. Stuff that the top teams (and many others) excel at. Occasional brilliance at a club that want consistent excellence is not good enough.
Hard to believe he got away with it.It's also 1-0 to United. And Maguire should have been sent off. You're welcome
I genuinely have no ideaHow are people missing this ?
