Who would, in their right mind, try to laugh at Liverpool from the position we're in?

That's pathetic. I don't go on and on about their wins when we're not on the same level as them, but it's equally pointless to try and make their only defeat of the season so far in to something to laugh at them for.

Have some sense and don't embarrass yourself. We should reach their level, or at least wait it out till they drop to ours before we can laugh at them again.
That's not how football rivalry works.

I caught a bad flu (corona?). Been feeling like s**it all week, but my god, what a remedy. Hope this is a beginning of a beautiful rest of the season
Have you ever tried the Anfield stadium tour? Apparently the door handles to the home dressing room taste like chocolate. You should try licking them some time soon.

If you do I’ll have a lot of respect for you because I think you’re going to have a harder time from here on in. Teams will have less of a mental block and your players will have an element of doubt in their heads. The confidence factor in sport can never be understated.
Yeah I agree. We need 7 wins and one or two draws to get to 101 or 102. Got a feeling that now we're defeated well be seeing a lot more of Milner, Minamino, Keita, Matip in league games, specially if we get past Chelsea and Atleti.

Our form, as has been mentioned numerous times on here, has been sub par for a few weeks. This defeat can result in either dropping of heads, or, more importantly, give us a kick up or backsides we've needed for a while. Just in time I'll add.

If someone mentions VVD again in the same breath as all time great defenders, I will slap him. That is all.

Surely it’s expected though? No one likes a team that wins all the time, least of all our biggest rivals.
Especially when so so many of those results were because of inexplicable shite goalkeeping errors- never seen anything like it in a season.

You deserve to win the league as everyone else has been poor , but not by so many points.

Glad it won't be an invincible season. We're still hearing about the Arsenal one, we'd be hearing about a Liverpool one for the rest of our lifetimes.

They still deserve the league by a mile, but pleased it won't be an undefeated one.

Can you imagine all that merch and relentless shows on sky about an unbeaten Liverpool team?? All that is blasted away now and it feels great.

They will still win the league, but I have made my peace with that. It definitely takes the edge of it knowing the win won’t be any more special or unique than any of our 13 wins

My brother is an arsenal fan too and happy for them. He was pretty miserable after Thursday night, and that team really was classy.

The entire time I’m watching the game I’m thinking they find a way to win. Really surprised by this. Makes Arsenal’s achievement all the more amazing.

Under a tree.
Hopefully they can draw and lose a couple to stop them getting the points record now.
As it stands they need 7 wins and a draw from the remaining 10 games....

When is the last time we lost a league game on a Saturday? It must be nearly two years. It’s been a great ride and glad we lost it to a team who totally deserved it and outplayed us.
But Elton John is still a cnut.

Is losing on a Saturday different to other days? I don't think anyone pictured the record attempt coming to an end by getting thumped by relegation fodder. That said it's been coming I think.

because I’m an old fecker I still associate Saturday with league games. A youth spent huddled around a radio listening to second half commentary on a Saturday afternoon.

I think Watford’s position doesn’t really tell the story of how good they are but you’re right it’s still a surprise. But we’ve been poor since the break. Hopefully this is the rocket we need to get back on track. Play like that against Atletico and we’ll be out.

Watching teletext was the best FYI.

Hitting refresh to see who scored.

4 goals and 2 assists in 12 starts for Ismaila Sarr who joins Demba Ba in the Hall Of Fame.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
Glorious, glorious, glorious result.

They don't deserve an 'invincible' tag anyway as so many of their wins have come through favourable decisions and incredible luck beyond the norm.

About time they got a good fecking hiding.

But, in all fairness, to any Liverpool fans on here who are feeling a bit deflated after that humiliating loss, just remember this...

hahahahaha feck you.

Don‘t say that around your team. Some of their favourite songs are Elton songs.

Klopp - Candle in the Wind
Mane - I’m still standing
Shaqiri - Tiny dancer
TAA - Big Dipper
Lallana - Dirty little girl
VVD - The emperors new clothes
Salah - Go it alone
Kornmayer - Medicine man
Firmino - Sweet painted lady
Milner - Razor face
