He was in decline before he signed it, not sure why we offered him so much money when there are plenty of better keepers out there.
Living on past glories, much like the club itself.

Delusional.I don't think he has been on the decline at all. He made a big mistake today, but he also made some very good saves.
Overall, his performances haven't been too bad. I think he isn't in the best form, but he will get back to it soon enough.

Seriously? He was disgraceful last season, pretty much single-handedly cost us the top four. This season has been an improvement on that but he's still a long way off his best.I don't think he has been on the decline at all. He made a big mistake today, but he also made some very good saves.

Form is something thats temporary.
yeah, he is the best GK in the world. You say he hasn't declined and then he is not in the best form
Pot kettleDelusional.
He has been on the decline for 2 years. If you think form last 5 years, that is up to you. I also believe Alexis has not declined and will be in world class form again after being useless for the past 2 or 3 years.Form is something thats temporary.
Decline meaning that he is permanently on his way down, which is what I disagree with.
7 mistakes leading to goals this season. This is not a one off, and some saves at the end will not paper the cracks.I don't think he has been on the decline at all. He made a big mistake today, but he also made some very good saves.

There is at least 2 within 50 miles of us that are betterI would like to see that "plenty of better keepers out there" list from @esmufc07 .
He has not been in top form since before the world cup in the summer of 2018. I'm just wondering how long someone has to play poorly before it is no longer just "bad form." We saw these same "bad form" arguments for Alexis and Lingard and at some point you just have to accept that this is now the player that he is.Form is something thats temporary.

The fella gave a fairly balanced counterpoint to your opinion. Why even fecking bother creating a thread if you don't want to hear any other opinion besides people parroting what you've already said?Delusional.

Post #1: one word dismissal of someone's perfectly reasonable opinionWho are you?
Add to that keepers who are realistically availableI would like to see that "plenty of better keepers out there" list from @esmufc07 .
Compare that to the way Chelsea handled the transition between Courtois and Arrizabalga.Because our forward planning has a horizon of a single day. The people in charge are clueless.

And be replaced by who? Romero is not better and always has a gaffe in him. Grant I don't know, never seen the guy - but can't imagine he'd be great shakes either.Should no longer be immune from being dropped in the league.
He hasn't been for a while.Because he's a top keeper? I wonder if Liverpool fans are saying the same after Alisson spilled a simple collect yesterday?
He has been, but whatever. He hasn't been for a while.
