He likes to dribble with the ball. His game will be more complete if he works on his off the ball movement and also his shooting skills. He might be becoming one of the best players in the world, his ball carrying and dribbling ability alone is an anomaly, only Hazard and Messi come close in that regards, now he’s adding a final ball crossing and end product he’s becoming pretty complete.
He’s a long way off that.He might be becoming one of the best players in the world, his ball carrying and dribbling ability alone is an anomaly, only Hazard and Messi come close in that regards, now he’s adding a final ball crossing and end product he’s becoming pretty complete.
No he’s a kick and run merchant!Tweet

This is just ridiculous he's the only player in the league able to do this.

Daniel James has 3 goals and 6 assists this season in the League, coming from a Championship team, and almost 2 years younger.Although I would like us to sign Sancho, I would be very happy with Traore with what I have seen from him this season.
4 goals 9 assists. Think he would do very well here. Dribbling, strength, speed, and looking a very good crosser of the ball, missile of a shot. Very promising player.
Yes and he’s also not capable of slicing through teams with his dribbling like Adama.Daniel James has 3 goals and 6 assists this season in the League, coming from a Championship team, and almost 2 years younger.
Would you say the same about Adama just a season ago, when he had 1 goal and 1 assist in the League?Yes and he’s also not capable of slicing through teams with his dribbling like Adama.
The arguments in defence of James are inexperience but in order for that to hold bearing the assumption is you feel he’ll play like Adama at some point.
I think Adam plays a very different style and it’s lazy to say we have a quick player in Dan James. They do not play in similar ways.
His main problem was his decision making, but he was always a good dribbler (Even last year, commentators/pundits/players/managers were saying he was extremely talented, just his decision making was dodgy). James hasn't really shown a lot in terms of dribbling - mostly he runs in straight lines and just beats players through his quick turn of pace. That does not work so well against Premier League teams, though.Would you say the same about Adama just a season ago, when he had 1 goal and 1 assist in the League?
That’s brilliantTweet

have to disagree, mate. I said it in his thread when he was at Middlesbrough - his passing, close control and crossing were already good. He's really gotten it together this season and his all-round game and end product have massively improved.
I know it'll upset some, but prior to this season he was a typical erractic speed merchant with poor end product. That's in the past now and he's improved a-lot over the past 12 months.
We'll have to agree to disagree. Having watched plenty of him, I always felt he lacked basically everything to make it at the top level bar his speed and occasional moment of magic.have to disagree, mate. The only difference now is he's playing with better players who make use out of his runs and passes. He did the same stuff at Middlesbrough but they just couldn't keep up with him.
That's fair enough! We'll have to agree to disagree. Having watched plenty of him, I always felt he lacked basically everything to make it at the top level bar his speed and occasional moment of magic.
He did have some good games for 'Boro, granted. But that was at Championship level. He's never impressed me as a PL player until this season. MOTD last night were even highlighting his all-round game progression. He's come on leaps-and-bounds this season and that's evident by his output and game time compared to last season.
He's a funny one in that he debuted for Barcelona at like 16/17 so he definitely had something about him even though his style of play was most un-La Masia like. That's fair enough!
He's definitely come on leaps-and-bounds this season as you say, and I'm not saying he was great before this season, but I personally saw enough about his game away from dribbling to indicate he was more than just a speed merchant.
Ha, we've all made our fair share of mistakes when it comes to judging players! I mean, it was only a few months ago I was expressing concerns on here about signing Bruno, and it's fair to say I was completely wrong on that one, which I'll happily admit because I'd rather be wrong and have a good player than be right and have a bad one. Not that I thought he was bad anyway, but I digress! He's a funny one in that he debuted for Barcelona at like 16/17 so he definitely had something about him even though his style of play was most un-La Masia like.
He joined Villa still very young and looked like a headless chicken. He then impressed for 'Boro in the Championship but I felt he looked way too erratic when he played for Wolves last season back in the PL. He's 24 now, so he really had to start producing more end product and improve his game this season and he's done just that.
My judgement of players is probably awful tbf as I was full sure Taarabt was nailed on to make it to the very top following his Zidane-esque season for QPR in the Championship!
Quite a few doubted Bruno from what I could see. I couldn't really pass judgement as I hadn't seen near enough of him. But yeah, it's great when you get it wrong and it benefits United!Ha, we've all made our fair share of mistakes when it comes to judging players! For what it's worth, I usually agree with the majority of your posts anyway. You can take that as a good or bad thing
Yeah he's got the raw athleticism to blow you away from a standing start, even if you know it's coming. That was Valencia's game too. His assist for Jimenez was just like Valencia. He’s quite similar to the player Valencia was when he first came to United. James, for whatever reason, seems reluctant to use his best asset as much.
Well yes because his dribbling was still there. He would still beat 3/4 men at a time but just had no end product.Would you say the same about Adama just a season ago, when he had 1 goal and 1 assist in the League?
He would also cost an arm and a leg though, surely. £60m?I said in the other thread about what if happens if we don't get Sancho, that this guy is the one we should be targeting.
At 24 he's entering his peak now, and he now has genuine end product to go along with his ridiculous dribbling ability.
Now is the time basically.
Very similar to Martials run yesterday in the first half where he binned like 3 people and pulled away from them.Tweet

This is just ridiculous he's the only player in the league able to do this.
Look at his assist against West Ham, what more could you want from a winger?Very similar to Martials run yesterday in the first half where he binned like 3 people and pulled away from them.
I think he’s very good and equally overhyped in my opinion. He’s not just a hit and run artist but equally he’s not half the footballer he is made out to be.
I think he’d be the wrong signing for us and how we play, I’d actually be really disappointed if we went for him. If there is no Sancho then Chiesa would be a better fit for me.
