I don't see any rumour about him. What clubs are after him?
Anyway, shame about this. When you think that Lingard and Pereira took his minutes then it is only us to blame.

I'd like to see him in the PL, think he'd be a good fit for a team like Southampton with the football they play.

Spain could be good. There was lots of rumours about 1-2 years ago he was off to Spain and he's barely featured since.

Would've liked to him have started over Lingard in that time.

I think he'll join Chelsea and be a decent squad option at some point. We've not lost a Rooney or a Ronaldo or anything.
he might not be tearing it up now but he is one of the most talented youngsters in world football. We should categorically make sure he doesn't go to another English club.

If his Portuguese is any good, it might benefit him to spend a few years at a place like Sporting or Benfica who have a strong youth development pedigree and it might not be too much of a culture shock for him.

There has been so much talk about him, but He has had so little impact, it's kind of hard to care that he is leaving.

Did anyone else hear the nonsense spouted on MUTV regarding this situation? Basically saying players of that size will struggle to make it because they are "not physical enough". If we were talking about a player whose main objective was to defend then there would be some merit to that, but other clubs have proven that you can play creative players of that size as long as the talent is there .

Fair to say he's gone. Probably had an offer elswhere.

Good luck to him, hope he can reach his potential as he's a great talent but his path here is too blocked.

For me this is a massive exaggeration. I've seen him in youth football quite a few times and at that level he looked very good . He's never shown anything when playing for the first team in his limited appearances. He has had how many managers who continue to overlook him .
If he was one of the most talented youngsters in world football then he would be a first team regular

Where's that come from and who said it? I find it hard to believe one of the most talented youngsters in world football couldn't dislodge Lingard or Pereria from the United team, especially when Greenwood, Chong, Williams and McTomminay have all become first teamers around him.

Even TFM got on the bench before him the other day!

He is extremely small though and has wee small legs too, not really a strong centre of gravity like other players..

Probably because Gomes is not signing a new deal

He must really be lacking in training if Lingard and Pereira are ahead of him. Even Chong got minutes here and there, and he's looked ropey when featured in the first team.

Either that, or Ole knew long ago he wasn't going to stay.

No chance.

he should have gone out on loan over the past 18 months, but perhaps physically he’s not up to it.

couldn’t see him making it here.
Wasnt the rumour at the time that he wanted a loan but Jose/club pulled the plug in it?

I can see why he wants out, this year was his best shot with Lingard et all stinking the place up and we have now bought a better player so hes even further down the queue.

Possible he does a last minute u-turn like Chong?
 once he realises no one wants him like Chong? I doubt it, he's been offered a really good contract by the sounds of things but I think if he rejected it United said there would be no more offers and that was it.

He had a loan lined up and Ole blocked it.

Make no mistake THIS IS OLES FAULT

Another reason why i dont think his up for the job and ill stand by that statement

The amount of chances he was giving lingard and pierera when they were clearly out of their depth, lingard not scoring or assisting in the premier league in 1 year yet he was STILL getting in ahead of gomes, let that sink in he was still giving lingard chances ahead of gomes in the number 10 role before we bought Bruno, and not once did lingard play even ok let alone good

I'm fuming, can see why ole got Cardiff relegated he hasn't got a clue,he will never be on klopp or peps level, and man United should be aiming higher than this fraud.

Watch gomes go on to become a world class player

Im disgusted ...

Its not nonsense... the guy is much smaller than others like David Silva. He's talented, but I never really saw him making it in the prem. At least not any time soon, and maybe thats what we told him and he wanted to make the step up now (reasonable).

Wish him luck and hope he goes to a good situation where he can prove himself and develop, but yeah here at United it makes sense from his perspective to make a move as it was too blocked here and he just isn't suited to the league.

What are his demands? He has an offer on the table, we can’t force him to sign it. I would bet our contract offer is more than generous considering he’s done nothing of note for us. He’ll get game time if he stays, that much is guaranteed under Ole. It’s really up to the player if he wants to leave.

Disappointing not to at least get a fee for him. Looks like a player that could make his mark in a couple of years.

Maybe he shows less than them in training? Won’t be blaming anyone until we see him play first team football.

Is he any good? All I have read about him on here is that he’s Jadon Sancho’s mate

£30,000 a week was apparently the offer he was given, which is more than generous
