Yes in my opinion.

Do their fans want to throw the game? Yes. For obvious reasons.

Does Klopp want to throw the game? He's a sore loser so probably not. But here's the thing. Klopp might be a clown but he knows his football. He's well aware that his team has peaked and that it's only downwards from here. He's also well aware that United only are a couple of missing pieces away from challenging. One of those pieces is Sancho. United missing out on CL would probably put the Sancho deal on hold for another year, meaning Klopp will be able to delay the inevitable crosspoint for another season.

Do their players want to throw the game? Before the Arsenal game I would have said no because they'd want the points record. But just like all the other records they were supposed to break they bottled that one too. Still think most of them would try to win because they're big money foreign signings with minimal connection to scouseland. The last time they threw a game vs Chelsea they had a scouse backbone with Slippy G and Spitty C. That local influence has more or less disappeared now that they've become a buying club. But nonetheless, throwing a game doesn't necessarily require a collective effort. All you need is one bad apple.

Who will be playing the role of Gerrard on Wednesday? My money is on either TAA or Robertson.

Na, its title presentations day. The day they have dreamt about for 30 years.

Almost certainly. They've been playing their games pissed since they confirmed the league anyway, and they'll take any opportunity to stop us getting top four.

The only possible redeeming factor is that it will be the game where they'll be presented with the trophy so they won't want to be embarrassed.

I think it'll finish 1-1, but they'll try their best to throw it.

Put your life-savings on Chelsea winning the game.

Seriously, it's money in the bank. Just do it.

I'm so glad Gerrard never won the Prem.

Obvious match fixing pass to Drogba back then.

That's really not saying much for Chelsea

No. As much as it pains me to admit it, right now we're not a consideration for Liverpool. Its very much a role reversal from where we were with them a decade ago. Back then we did not play our games worrying about whether or not us winning or losing helped them, we were too focused on titles. That, sadly, is where Liverpool are now. The Liverpool fans may feel differently but Klopp and his players won't even be thinking about what we're doing right now. They will be thinking about getting a good break over the summer, then coming back next season to trying to retain the title.

Yes. They will.

It's down to spurs to do something because these small time cnuts will throw the game.

No, they'll want a reaction after a few poor results and they've got an unbeaten home record to preserve.

Not that it should matter, all we have to do to secure 4th is beat West Ham and Leicester. If results elsewhere go our way, great. If not, just get on with it.

We win our next two games and we qualify regardless of what Chelsea or Liverpool do. We also have the EL route still open. Ofcourse they're not throwing the game. Imagine throwing it and we still going through.

They're getting the trophy win or lose and there'll be no fans in the stadium anyway.
Theyll know the eyes of every Liverpool fans will be on them, ready to celebrate.
I honestly cant think of any title presentation day that had the champions lose. Maybe there's obvious examples but I cant think of them

They have no moral compass, so obviously they will.

No, they have a home record to play for and Klopp is not one to throw up opportunities like that. And it's title presentation day, they'll be on a high and play their best football.

I've changed my mind. Klopp won't throw the game. They would throw the game if Slippy was the boss though.

Now they've lost the points target, this is a fear of mine.

But look at it like this......whether we get top 4 or Chelsea get top 4, it won't make a difference. Both teams will still make big signing this summer, both teams will be a threat next season. So LFC will hopefully just be thinking about finishing their best season in 30 years on a high and with as much points as possible to cement their place in their clubs history books.

Nah, they're playing gash enough at the minute to lose without throwing it.

Never forget 2010.

Expect a complete surrender. I’ll be putting £50 on Chelsea.
What about 1995? For those too young to remember, most United fans expected Liverpool to roll over for Blackburn at Anfield to enable them to take the title ahead of United. As it turned out, Liverpool won and it was United's own failure to win at West Ham that cost us. Having said that, Liverpool are exhibiting a loss of focus at the moment, so a Chelsea win is far from out of the question.

I think it's a simple narrative to conclude due to the terrible attitude Liverpool have had in the remaining fixtures but I think Klopp has too much pride to instruct the players to intentionally lose a game. Plus it doesn't make sense, we could win our last two games and finish 4th / 3rd or Liverpool could batter Chelsea and we lose one of our two remaining games.

No. Not unless you think they threw the game against Arsenal too. They are just off it, and will continue to be off it against Chelsea - just as they would be if they played Southampton next.

On an individual level, I have my last faith in Salah’s pursuit of the Golden Boot.

its not as if Chelsea are in scintillating form right now, it would be some effort for Liverpool to fully throw the match.

But anyway, hes a sore loser who won't want to be beaten 2 on the bounce, especially at home on the day they're presented the title. I think they'll be fully going for it

Chelsea would struggle with the United 93 title winners at the moment let alone a team fresh from winning it.

Not intentionally IMO. But they might not bother to show their best, same as they have been doing since they clinched the title.

For what is worth, I don't believe that they threw their match in 2010 too. They actually played good, Aquilani even hit the bar and had other chances. Gerrard fecked up, but he had done it several times in his career (against Arsenal gifting a goal to Henry, and against France in the last minute gifting a penalty to Henry).

They won’t intentionally throw the game but they’ve got the deck chairs out at this point so the chances of Chelsea beating them who’ve got it all to play for are quite high unfortunately.

My only hope is the fact they lift the trophy after this game so it might give them the incentive to get the win before doing so.
