Is Hazard playing? I have heard his name mentioned a few times but I have not seen him play.
Wrong thread mateIs Hazard playing? I have heard his name mentioned a few times but I have not seen him play.
You've literally had it spoonfed to you, and you still don't get it? Are you on a WUM or something? Or do you just get off on being wrong? First of all, it wasn't five years, it was three years and two months. Secondly, we have our own version of Bayern/Juve: Rosenborg. Ole came back to a gutted Molde side in need of a rebuild (they were 7th in the league with three games to go when he came in.) Molde doesn't have anywhere near the resources of Rosenborg, so they've primarily focused on young, hungry players under Ole (unlike Rosenborg, who are generally able to buy ready-made.) The first season was spent bedding in a new side, while they finished the following two in 2nd behind Rosenborg. They were making clear progress under him, and were back to being contenders again.Don't you think that not winning anything in 5 years despite such poor opposition speak volumes on his methods and his tactics both in terms of managing a side which may have weaknesses and in rebuilding a successful side as quickly and as efficiently as possible? I think it does tbh. He won't get 5 years to set things right with United that's for sure.
So staying trophy less in a shit league with just 1 half decent team in it is a great achievement right? Especially since, this small team are now favourites of winning the league (coincidentally when Ole left)You've literally had it spoonfed to you, and you still don't get it? Questioning whether Ole has the experience or the credentials to manage a club the size of United is one thing, but that's not what you're doing. You're taking away from his achievements in an effort to make him seem less experienced and less competent, questioning him based on shit you've clearly dreamt up in your own weird-ass head, which is a pretty fecking shitty thing to do when you're talking about a loyal servant and club legend.
Judge him on his potential shortcomings and actual failings, rather than a bunch of made-up shit.
I think the best we can do is selling him on cheap in exchange of having a Manchester United only minimum fee clause + a generous Zaha like selling clause inserted in his contractSo I guess this is the end of Dean Henderson, then?
We aren't going to be benching a keeper on DDG's wages for Henderson if he comes back to compete; Henderson isn't going to return to be reserve; nobody will be buying DDG anymore given the wages/asking price.
I'm not one of these 'youth/academy have to play' guys and I would rather the better GK be our #1 even if that means Henderson leaving for first-team footy. I'm just raising the topic.
Did ole bite off more than can chew? He was offered to be manager of Man Utd, who wouldn't want that job? By your rationality no one should aim higher than what their potential level is?That's a situation most small clubs face. Also correct me if i am wrong but weren't Molde champions months before Ole joined in 2015? They also seem to be favourites to win the league this season
I think Ole bit far more then he can chew.
Let's start from the deadwood shall we? Lukaku was a top striker and he's gone. Herrera was our 2nd best midfielder and he's gone. Smalling was our 2nd/3rd best CB and he's gone. Fellaini was way better then Periera and Fred and he's gone. Sanchez would have been useful to have around in a team that is so light upfront and he's gone. The latter two on loan which means we only got rid of part of the salary bill. So one really wonder if that was a football decision or a financial decision especially since we had far worse players then them some of whom had just signed a new 5 year contract. Not to forget that no one actually bothered replacing most of them which lead to United starting the season with no midfield and forward lineDid ole bite off more than can chew? Ole gave his instructions to the board to shift the deadwood, he spotted the rotten core ruining the squad and morale and had it dealt with. Shifting out Sanchez, who came in when Martial was in the form of his life, Lukaku consistently playing when not in form, Matic no longer a starter and making us watch pedestrian football. He's got Lindelof and DDG to sign contracts, leaving funds to help rebuild the modified and attack in January.
In the long run Ole may not be the man for the job, however he's trying to rebuild a team and get the hunger/desire back into them. Bringing through some of the youth players as well, they would never get a chance with Jose at the club.
Yes his record at previous clubs is not great but he's working with less talented players and made foolish purchases at Cardiff, trying to bring all the Molde players to them. I'm a fair believer he's learned from his mistakes and made him a better manager overall. As I say he might not be the man for the long term but whoever takes over after him will have a less problematic personnel.

Regarding game play I admit that we are watching a more attractive football. However that is not translating into results or goals. Thank god we were gifted with so many penalties. They are basically bailing us out
Finally he keeps on harping about kids. However unlike LVG who actually played them Ole seems frightened to give them a real chance.
I don't blame everything on ole. Our inability to find a decent DOF + our ridiculous summer transfer campaign is more at fault then what Ole did. However buying ridiculously expensive local talent, talking about kids without give them a chance while relying on divine providence (penalties) to win is certainly not good enough
Lukaku is not the right type of player for united, his build up play is atrocious and his first touch is non-existent. Not the attributes of a top player.Let's start from the deadwood shall we? Lukaku, Fellaini, Herrera and Smalling were certainly as good if not better then 2/3 of the player's we've got. That include McT, Andreas, Lingard and probably all the kids Ole keeps mentioning without barely ever playing. Regarding Jones and Rojo, well, we certainly wanted them as we were the ones handling them long term contracts. You are such a downbeat bore.
Sanchez, Fellaini and Lukuku - thank god they are gone. Add in Darmian, and the utter waste of a shirt Valencia. That’s 4 players we are not missing at all + Lukuku (whose departure does leave a gap up front, but the pro’s far outweigh the cons of him staying).
Herrera would be a useful player, but not at the contract he wanted, he was never consistent and OGS could do nothing about him leaving.
Smalling has gone on loan because he’s the only CB we had that would go. He’s far better than Bailly, Jones and the appalling Rojo - but hey presto, everyone else can see how shit they are as well, no-one wants them!
We have had a good clear out and bought in 3 good players, and giving younger players like Greenwood, Andreas and McT more time on the pitch.
It’s not going to be plain sailing, and it will take a few windows to get a couple more of the right types of players in.
The Money is there when we need it, but it’s better not to spend it than just buy anyone.
Would I have brought Lukaku, Fellaini, Herrera and Smalling to this team? The answer for most of them is no. However they were as good if not better then what we've got in the present squad. So lets stop calling them deadwood shall we?Lukaku is not the right type of player for united, his build up play is atrocious and his first touch is non-existent. Not the attributes of a top player.
Sanchez has shown nothing for united during his time here and I'm not convinced of he stayed anything would be any different. Yes it's left us light up front but we are a side in transition and Sanchez is a negative influence from what reports have said. Fellaini not a united type player, I did like him at united as a useful squad player but if we want to move away from long ball football then it was a necessary sacrifice. Fellaini went missing in quite a lot of the games he played, his main impact came from sub appearances and long balls.
Herrera didn't want to renew, not really Oles choice as I'm sure he would love to keep him at the club but Herreras demands to be a top earner didn't really inspire the club to make good on such an offer.
Smalling always new he was gonna be backup to Maguire and Lindelof and needed gametime at this stage of his career. Tbf I would have preferred he stayed and Jones and Rojo had departed instead.
Yes we may be getting a lot of penalties but doesn't that point to our attacking play improving and the opposition players taking drastic measures to stop our players? It's not a model to base everything on but with the play improving hopefully we can subsidise the penalties with outfield goals as well.
Yes the summer window was atrocious, to suggest Maguire is ridiculously expensive just isnt true. Its the going rate for defenders and one as highly rated as Maguire who has the desire and composure our defence has lacked for a few seasons. Case in point we have 2 clean sheets already which matches last season.
I do agree ole is reluctant to use the kids from the start, but he's put his trust in James to start the season and we have seen more of Greenwood in the squad. I hope he plays him from the start tonight along with Gomes and Chong. He did trust the same kids against PSG last season in such a high profile game and they delivered I just wish he had kept faith in them.
Rosenborg might be shite by international standards, but by Norwegian standards, they're a behemoth. And I'm sure the rebuild Ole saw them through has nothing to do with it, nor the fact that his former assistant is now head coach and has them playing the same way. Rosenborg shooting themselves in the foot and sacking the coach who won three on the trot because they didn't like him probably had nothing to do with it either. So staying trophy less in a shit league with just 1 half decent team in it is a great achievement right? You made some good points but to then insult someone on a forum is childish and rude. And you're not acknowledging straight-up lying about the length of his second stay, inflating it by a relatively massive amount?
But hey, if you want to be a pigheaded moron and ignore the facts in favour of your preferred narrative, then go ahead. Just know that you come off as a pigheaded moron. Moron.

I felt that if he was going to act like a child, might as well join him. Clearly not the best response, but it felt appropriate at the time. You made some good points but to then insult someone on a forum is childish and rude. Absolutely no need for name calling, just make your point and move along.
No mistakes, but Cresswell’s freekick is saveable. I wouldn’t expect a keeper to save it every time, but it’s saveable. We’ve given De Gea a contract that values him as being the best GK in the world. If he’s not at that level, we should have let him go. I think it’s fair to hold him to that standard. There wasn't really a mistake in him today although I understand fans are frustrated.
The FreekickWhats he getting blamed for today? I missed it
Many of us had the foresight to see how this was going to turn out. We handsomely rewarded him for mediocrity. We won't move forward as a club until we stop giving big contracts to players that have shown a clear decline, looking likely we may have to manage another Rooney situation for a couple of years...
4 years Player of the year. Many of us had the foresight to see how this was going to turn out. We handsomely rewarded him for mediocrity.
They only listen to us when it goes tits up then act like it was impossible to see. Many of us had the foresight to see how this was going to turn out. We handsomely rewarded him for mediocrity.
So? The contract wasn't going to run for the four years he was player of the year.4 years Player of the year.
He hasnt been mediocre for us has he though? Only in the last season. So? The contract wasn't going to run for the four years he was player of the year.
He pretty much single handly cost us top 4 last season. No pun.He hasnt been mediocre for us has he though? Only in the last season.
If he single handedly cost us top 4, he has also got us top 4 single handedly in the past.He pretty much single handly cost us top 4 last season. No pun.
The only way this would be true would be if every game we lost or dropped points was because of him and without those errors, the 3 points would be guaranteed. I don’t recall that being the case.He pretty much single handly cost us top 4 last season. No pun.
