Watching BT's package on Atleti eliminating Liverpool at JuAnfield, I can't believe people are seriously talking about getting rid of two leg ties! What a fantastic night for football. Fans deserve evenings like that. ;)

Nah. Think Bayern is the biggest favorite. This isn't the Atletico with peak Godin & Griezmann.
Yeah they haven't had a great season, but I just get a feeling it's their season. Simeone has been here before so they have experience of the knockout games. If they get to the final, it's another question of whether they can win it, but I feel they can if they get there.

Bayern will tear them apart. No amount of Messi would be enough

Either they suddenly become comprehensively better in the space of a week, or they get hammered
Your confidence in us is admirable, but I think the amount of Messi they have at their disposal can make the difference in any one-legged tie.

Bayerns forwards don't have the pace to take maximum advantage of them, while City does.
Eh? Coman and Gnabry? Also Lewandowski is not exactly a slouch either

They are the beat team in Europe. If they play to their maximum in the next three games they will win the tournament.

Gnabry and Coman are as quick as Sterling and quicker than Mahrez, while Lewandowski is better than Jesus by two countrymiles.

If they met, I’d say Bayern would go in as the favourites based on my combined 11:

Neuer
Walker Laporte Alaba Davies
Kimmich Thiago
De Bruyne
Gnabry Lewandowski Sterling

We haven't met any top (european) competition all season though, no team out of the top 1-2 out of the other big four leagues. Barca also in their current state is a decidedly bigger test than the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, and our domestic rivals.

Someone explain the difference between Bayern of last season and this season
Playing with a fluency in attack that they did not have last year under Kovac. Defensively more solid to with pace to burn on the flanks who contribute so much to their attack under lapping and over lapping at every opportunity . Kimmich and Goretzka having brilliant seasons. Davies has been outstanding and Muller's return to form crucial too. Gnabry seems to have went up another gear in his development and currently have the best player in the world in their side on form. Huge favourites for this competition.

Not even last season and this season, it's a huge difference between the Bayern that started this season and the one that ended it. And as others have already said, it's the change of management which has made a difference like day and night. Multiple players of ours have come forward with statements about how much more strutctured our game is, Müller even called it the most organized since Pep. Add to that what looks like a serious improvement in man management which has seen many players return to heights not seen in quite some time, and you end up with a team in much better shape than only months ago.

Sabitzer forever impresses me when I watch him. Those who watch him often, would they say he has the ability to play a bigger club, so to speak.

You see attackers kicking themself in the calf quite often. Is it on purpose to make for a more natural looking dive I wonder?

Same here. I think he is real quality. Always giving everything. A fighter paired with good skills. I think he would be a great addition for a lot of bigger clubs.
Leipzig have a great DOF. They always find good players while they also have to sell their best players. I know the money is there, but they know how to spend it and aren‘t buying the Denilsons, Robinhos, etc.
