Also, Ross Barkley has never produced a single midfield masterclass whenever I've watched him.

Buffon, almost every time I've watched him he's lost or looked bang average.

That said somebody sent me a clip of him in his prime and he looked other worldly

Stones I think. He is always looking like a liability when I watch him. Although I know he has scored some goals so maybe I should not count him.
Jesus scores, but rarely plays great like a true striker.
Batshuayi has mostly been crap when I watch him.
Lallana I don't rate much at all and he rarely plays well.
Lovren as well from Liverpool mostly looked bad.

Those would be my top 5 from the PL.

Haha can you actually believe when I watched the thread title, the first name who jumped to my mind was Jesus Navas, just to enter the thread and see you talking about him ?

Cavani - I always used to see his name pop up on scoresheets yet every time I watched him, he seemed like a useless donkey.

Rui Costa - Always highly talked about back in the day yet never performed when I watched him play.

Ross Barkley is a good shout along with Mason Mount, absolute bang average both of them.

In recent seasons, Lacazette seems to spend more time on the ground then actually playing football

Some of you aren't very good at watching football  Cavani, Ribery, Terry, Figo, Rui Costa? ffs
Yeah have to agree, I think Rui Costa was one of the best playmakers in Europe when he was playing and Figo was different class to anything in today's game

Naby Keita up until his screamer against Chelsea. The only thing of note I've seen him do for the dippers.

Edinson Cavani was this for literally years. Incredible stats every season but I just never saw him play well. He broke that a couple of years ago though & ive seen him play well now.

The only current example I can think of for a player who is highly rated is Koulibaly. Every time I’ve seen him he’s looked dog shit & clumsy.

Mason Mount was man of the match against United like a month ago surely you watched that

Most of them are madness but I can testify that I honestly didn’t see Cavani play well til about 2018. Considering he’s been highly rated for over a decade that’s mad but it’s honestly true. Literally every time I saw him the commentators would bang on about his record & he’d proceed to put in a stinker. Saw him play well for the first time for Uruguay. I think it might even have been the World Cup.

Dybala - every time I've seen Juve he's either benched or doing a good job of making you forget he's on the pitch.

Not sure if Bruno Fernandes does anything outside of pens ?
He does do a bit more than that such as picking passes like prime Mata and pressing from the front. Not much else though.

Also the fact you are asking that shows people are waking up.

Messi and Ronaldo /thread

Nah, Higuain. Used to be a prolific goalscorer, and even then he would always play shit when I watched him.

Alexis Sanchez. I basically only saw him play against Bayern with Arsenal before his move to United.

Not far enough
It's apparent that most people here only rate players if they score worldies and dribble like Messi.

But to answer the OP: Pepe (Arsenal winger, not the CB), he is incredibly wasteful and the few times I've watched Arsenal this season he was the first sub.

Another one probably is Jorginho although his best work is done without the ball and off the camera focus so probably unfair to judge.

I’ll admit I’ve not seen a lot of him, but Lewandowski. Even in the 8-2 against Barça the other night he was rubbish.
I don’t know why he has such good stats (maybe there are a lot of shit teams in Germany), but it makes sense why he’s never linked with big money transfers to the likes of Madrid, Barcelona, City, Juve etc.

He help set up the first goal, and while not the star of of the show, made decent choices with the ball.
And you are wrong, he was definitely linked with with big money transfers, just search up RM + Lewandowski, also, Bayern is a big club so its not like he can do much better, its like asking why Iniesta was rarely linked away with big money transfer.

Was probably best player on the pitch in the CL home game at Old Trafford against Juventus, 2018/19 I think it was. Was quite good in both games actually.

3rd best scorer in CL history I think. So basically the best scorer not named Ronaldo/Messi.

And he was linked to Madrid several times.

Seeing Obi Mikel linked with Stoke today has made me come here, all he ever used to do was stroll around the middle of the park.

Players i haven't seen put up performance to match the hype about them
Milinkovic Savic
Always doesn't get involve as much as I'll expect, he's been compared to Zidane but looks more like Fellaini to me

Koulibaly
I see his physique and pace, they say he is a 150 million player and as good as Van dijk,he doesn't look as commanding and his passing isn't as good as well in the games I watched him
