What? I don’t see why they wouldn’t accept if they are paid In instalments. Unless he meant add ons. Do they really expect 120M euros paid in one shot in this kind of climate now?
Genuinely hope for your sake he does mean add ons, but that looks like installments over years and if they are demanding all the cash up front as, Leicester apparently did with Maguire, then I can't see that happening. Shame I'd like to see him back in the premiership.
Sounds like we wanted to split the 80+20 over 4 or 5 years with 20 being add ons. Otherwise it would be 80+40 surely.
Good point, though I read it as 80M up front then two installments of 20M each over a 4-5 year period. Damn unclear tweets!
Either they are desperate for cash to pay for all outstanding or they are playing hardball, need a massive down payment and minuscule instalments.
The fact that they are still talking only shows they need ££/$$.
Think they are ready to sell but it is us not pulling the trigger. Signing him will improve the starting 11 immensely but not the overall squad. We will be kind of stuck with the same rotation headches we had this season. Unless we sell manage to gather 40-50 mil from outgoings, this transfer will probably be a large chunk of the budget, which will leave us unable to pursue other targets.
We might very well be in a situation of signing Sancho + 1 other player but with Ole asking for 4-5 transfers.

Good thing is that we are still negotiating with BVB. BVB are open to sell him for the right price. So at the end the clubs will finally settle for a price which seems reasonable.
Why are they sending messages, they can continue their losses. We will get Sancho next year for 100 million
Funnily enough, nothing has changed on that front. The only problem for us is the fact that dealing with agents means that this transfer will take a while to complete.
Or we just don't have the cash they want upfront /not part of clauses so spend on one player. I feel this would be moving a lot faster if we really had the liquidity to give Dortmund the terms they want. It's not in our interest either to drag this one.

So based on what we know so far, we only submitted one deal to them (the one with the add-ons). Beyond that, Romano and other journalists have offered their suggestions of deals that Dortmund can accept, but no one knows what Dortmund are okay with (they stated that they want 120 million Euros via their journalists, but it's not necessarily a non-negotiable fee). My guess is that the club know that Dortmund won't take add-ons, so we've given them an offer with either very easy add-ons or a fully-guaranteed structured payment with a reasonable base fee (60 million Euros + installments). However, Dortmund via their agents are slow to respond, and that's why the negotiations are dragging on.
It'll be a while before we see any significant developments.

Think he means that Dortmund wants the installments paid over 3 years and not more. Dont think they'll accept any addons.
My guess is that they want to put more pressure on United on Dortmund's behalf. They think that United will succumb to the pressure and pay the full amount (and probably pay a large amount up front).

Not sure it is think Fab might have described it wrong. He and Falk in last said 120 over guaranteed installments in one or two years was acceptable to Dortmund.

Mate don't talk about what you don't know. It's not Fabs fault NOTHING more has happened.
Just this summer Fab broke Sarri being sacked and Setien being sacked before anyone else.
Fab is very reliable and doesn't "latch onto more reliable reports" Other reporters do that to him.
Clearly United while still negotiating just aren't up to much in this deal at the moment.
