It's about time they freshen up things
I'm glad Phil Thompson won't be on there next season, And Charlie Nicholas as well because he kept slating United and never gave us credit.
It was in need of a re-fresh.
It's a shame though. That show has been a constant from my teens into my 30's with very little change and I've enjoyed it.
I hope they don't get 3-4 boring former PL players with no real opinion.

I wonder if the news was delivered suddenly or whether there has been talk within Sky of a freshen-up of the panel for a while? I know the staleness of SS has been discussed a great deal here and elsewhere.

Very good decision. They are not the only ones who should have gone. However, its a start.
The standard of punditry is too low. The broadcasters need to do more to raise the bar. Too often its clear the talking heads have not seen much (if anything) of the team or players they are talking about. How long would it take these people to get someone to put a highlight reel together and put together a briefing? Its lazy and it should not keep being rewarded.

About time, they need some fresh faces and some female voices aswell. I much prefer BT Score at the moment but let’s hope Sky can make Soccer Saturday watchable again.

They’re too old and too white. Can’t say I care either way, I haven’t watched it for a very long time and no matter who they get on, I still won’t watch it.
What a sad loss to all no personality, no insight pundits everywhere.
Merson for all his faults still is watchable and has a bit of personality. Something you cant say about those three.
Do people still watch these types of shows? It was decent for a Saturday afternoon in the background of a pub but nothing more, really.

Glad it's getting refreshed. It should be on a regular basis anyway, the same bores on it every week had left it a very stale show.
Soccer AM is a far cry from what it was to be fair. It completely revamped and is unrecognisable from the show 15 years ago.
Soccer Saturday needed this. Needs revamping massively and should follow BT's set up. Much more modern, more relaxed.
