Pogba wasn't a world champion with France at the time. He won the World Cup while he was already a United player. And yes, he did achieve more because Pogba was older when he was sold, and playing for Juve. Pogba was also a midfielder, and attackers tend to be sold for more.
And inflation because of the new TV deal :D

Eds out of yellow ink on his Epson printer so he's just ordered some it should be delivered by tomorrow, and he just subscribed to Grammarly so the intonation on his contract doesn't sound too aggressive.
I also use it to post on RedCave too also

Chelsea themselves have just posted this on their website:

Havertz announced! Chelsea's record transfer signing Kai Havertz reveals why Frank Lampard was pivotal to him putting pen to paper on a five-year-contract with the Blues and discusses he's hoping to achieve at Stamford Bridge...
Those small sums reported in the last few days were false. The transfer will cost Chelsea 100m € almost certainly.

Like i said before. I would not pay more for Sancho than Pogba. Pogba a regular and big player of Juventus. World champion for France. The price was world record back then around...89,3 mill £ + bonus. Sancho is a really good football player. But Pogba back did achieved more. So the max price for Sancho is 90 £ mill + add on. If not i will looking for another really good RW options out there for another year.

Example of one to keep eyes on Juventus upcoming Dejan Kulusevski from Sweden on loan to Parma from Juventus, age 20 (2000). So there are really good RW options out there.

I dont think United will not win premier league or champion league next season. So wait another year to spend big and be patient is key.
Let Chelsea spend a lot of money to go in the battle with Liverpool and City this season or next. Then United shall be aim for league title about 2-3 years time from now. United need 2-3 years time to be solid and consistent like Liverpool and Bayern Munich. So jumping in the same boat as Chelsea. To fight against your rival and enemies. When they are at the most powerful and peak or golden Era. It is not the smartest move. Be smart with the transfer and be smart with the time you hit your rival the strongest. It is when they golden era is on the way down.
Like City. Withouh first Yaya Toure, Kompany and now Silva and in the future Aguero. City are looking like they are on the downfall. Only De Bruyne keep City up. Not Pep.

United can do with Greenwood, De Beek and Mata as RW options for another season. Aiming for as most points and win as possible next season. Then we count up in the end of the season. Just points goals. Playing for winning every match.

About Dejan Kulusevski. He might start for Sweden against France tonigth at 20.45. As RW/RM. So one to watch out beside Sancho. A really talent and skillful football player and RW. Up against France and world champion and top level. The boy has that level. A player pleasure to watch.
Pogba was never worth or proved his fee, even Real was put off by it at the time. United and alot of fans were hypnotized by the romance and fandom of him coming back when there were so many better investments available that summer to spend the money on (Kante to name one). Pogba played for a unchallenged Juv team and French team with the best sqaud of players. I never get the whole idea of "he won the world cup" so means he must be world class. Hes hardly Maradona and was the key to it all.

I am much more inclined to spend big on Sancho than I ever was on Pogba

So what, their previous record was 71m for Arrizabalaga. Harvertz might be 71.1.....

Theres no major outlet reporting the fee currently at what you say is "almost certainly" 100m

That would maaaaybe make sense if the transfer market hadnt progressed since then. Players cost more money now. Also Pogba wasn't the world champion for france back then, he was a regular and big player for Juve. Sancho is a regular and big player for Dortmund, is English and is 20. Sancho arguably has the same stature in world footbal as Pogba did then. Account for the rise in transfer fees and £108 million seems about right.

Who to believe ? Romano/falk’s side saying it’s the fee with Dortmund that appears to be the problem, or the English press - Agent fees?

Anyone could see that LB was our weakest link when Shaw was out. We need to replace him/have adequate left-footed cover to progress.
We don’t have the funds and we also have academy players who are fine filling in.

I’m not sure what planet you live on.

We are clearly far from being fine if Shaw is out.

The semi final game should surely tell you that.

Also re funds : IMO we have more than enough funds to sign a LB AND Sancho.

If kai is worth 100m then Sancho is worth 120m.

The only issue is how much of that is in bonus and how will the payments be structured?

Well Transfermarkt, a German based website have him down at 72m, not sure where this conspiracy comes from over British media or what interest it is to under report the fee, surely the higher the better for more attention...

The cold war between foreign journo's like Fab and the UK press has been arguably the most entertaining aspect of this saga

I think it's more a case of Man United's fee being over-reported; we apparently ended up saving £10m on Maguire by delaying (not that I'm a fan of the transfer), but that won't ever be reported in the mainstream media. Same with AWB, and hopefully with Sancho

He said something like 70m pounds before 30th August was the initial fees. Bayer & Chelsea had agreement with the 70m pounds initial fees for weeks already. The reason why the deal of Havertz took long because they tried to find agreement in the adds on fees that reached 100m euro. Bayer wanted him for 100m euro with initial fees of 80m euro.

Good post. Getting "fleeced" twenty years ago was paying 30 million for Rio, now it's paying 120 million for Sancho. That's life, Dortmund can name any price they want. The question is do we want to win trophies or not? Because this guy is the real deal and he'll be worth every penny.
We weren’t in the middle of a global pandemic, no supporters at OT for an unknown time and big TV deals being cancelled.

Being cautious is perfectly understandable.

There are fans who want to see the club play good football and win trophies, and there are fans that are more worried about the Glazer's finances.

The most fleeced deal ever has to be a world record transfer of Denilson to Sevilla for £24m. That was outrageous at the time! Especially as he turned out to be pretty shit!

Not true. The kicker reported it and that's the most reliable source in Germany you can find. In detail, they reported that the fee including add ons will "as far as it is humanly possible to judge reach 100m with a probability bordering certainty". They further more reported that the add ons are not reliant on titles by Chelsea. Also, The Athletic and co. reported that Havertz was NOT the most expensive transfer in Chelsea's history. Not regarding the initial fee and not after bonuses. This is false, plain and simple, as the statement by Chelsea itself proved.

So we have a very specific and detailed report by the most reliable German news paper that is in line with the reported sums since the beginning of the saga and then there are the sources that speak of a smaller fee which are also detailed but at least partially contain definitely false information. I don't even have a remainder of a doubt that the kicker article is correct :)

Looking very good. Insane close control. Set up Rice nicely but he fluffed his lines.

Reminds me of Sterling but with a better touch and more composure etc.
