Typically I don't bet on United or teams that I support because i find it hard to be objective, which is also true in this case.
Spending £108M on one of the world's most exciting talents seems too good to be true, especially in this time of depressed revenues and uncertain economic outlook.
I still don't believe it will happen because we saw similar "close calls" with Griezmann and Dybala only to be disappointed in the end. I'd rather not get my expectations up yet. But if we pull this off then I will unzip with the best of them.
I think we dropped out of those deals because the manager didn't want them in the end: certainly Dybala, and Griezmann economics also put him way out of range. And with hindsight, we did very well to avoid both.

We don't usually feck around after a major briefing like this. And seeing as there's no competition, the only way this can fall through is if the player suddenly decides to stay. It's on.

The guy could not score or create a goal against Iceland and Denmark but we wonder if his agent would accept installment for the bonus fees on his third Ballon d'Or.

Over the top.
The state on comments like these

I know what you mean but after today's briefings my trousers are off and they're staying off.

Damn - went out for a run and come back to about 30+ new pages and a chime in from every reputable news source going. Looks like it's happening people.
Go for a few more laps mate, the news is slowing down

This was you a month ago:

Admit it, you had never watched besides a few internationals.

Basically you are someone who is best left ignored.
I've already admitted the other day in the 'players you've never seen play well' thread that I've only watched him 5 times and like I said in that thread I've never seen him play well.

Me saying he was amazing was based on his highlight reel and general hype. I'm honestly not sure what I think now, but so far for me, he's been a let down.

Denmark and Iceland aren't bad teams and more importantly, Southgate is clueless to not do better with that squad.

This thread is starting to circle the drain. And there is another two months to come.
Well, I was refreshing the thread for entertainment but nothing has happened or looks like it's going to happen.
He's been crap for England!
I think Dortmand should bite Utd's hand off at 100 million.
Sorry lads, I've come to the conclusion that's he's overhyped.

I'm sure you're all gutted to hear this.
Thank you for your concern. We get your point. I'd be more concerned about James Rodriguez being overhyped though mate rather than worrying about Utd signings. Leave Sancho to us.

Oh, and some you guys need to chill. Not every post is to be taken deadly seriously.

And what's with the consistent 'what about everton posts?' It's not a dick measuring contest.

Because it’s not spent on players like Falcao, Schweinsteiger, Zlatan (although he was good), Lukaku and Sanchez.

In theory, as it never works out, but all the players OGS has bought should be here for 5 years as a minimum.
Yeh. When Abramovich bought those players in his early year, where then they dominated the League for ~3 years in mid 2000's (could be more, if we didn't have SAF). Wasn't it considered a "quick fix"? They didn't buy many "Falcao, Schweinsteiger, Zlatan" type of players.

Definitely agree with this. If what you say is true regarding manager preference (and I think it is) let's hope Ole pushing for this is the difference-maker.

Sure. And Messi has only scored 36 goals in 91 competitive appearances with Argentina, well below his club average. So Messi is shite now too? By comparison, CR7 has 84 in 118.... Ronaldo the greatest ever?

By the way, Declan Rice absolutely whiffed that sitter that Sancho set up for him...

Almost as if the negotiations are based upon more than 2 international kick-arounds pre-season

Well we know that England squad is full of talent and nobody turned up, I wouldn’t judge on those games which are basically pre season friendlies.

You know Kane and Sterling are getting 25 goals each this season regardless of those 2 games the other night.

Rival fans often do when players sign for us. Look at VDB thread.
Its a strange phenomenon, VDB was the tits when Madrid were in for him.
It's interesting how fans of mediocre teams have more concern for our own signings than their own teams. So much concern that they kindly keep warning us not to waste our money as they have our best interests at heart. We have such nice rival fans.

Pretty sure Ronaldo didn't win most of his based on his performances for Portugal

I posted about him 3 times while he was playing terrible for England, pretty normal output, no?

You've admittedly stated you've only watched him 5 times. All of which are for England.

Shall we just ignore the fact he's got the most goals and assists ever by a teenager since their debut? Overhyped.

Impressive stuff and he's clearly not crap. However, we're talking about a £120 million cost. He can still be great and be worth half that amount.

Moyes, van Gaal and Jose truly broke the fan base, at least on here. It all started with the "Should we sack x" polls. Win one match, keep, lose one match, sack. Fickle as feck. Same with Pogba. World beater and the best player in the team after a good match, "should we consider selling him?" after a bad match.

Now it's Sancho. Not long ago all our partners asked us "why's your dick out while reading a football forum?" and you told them about Jadon The Wonderkid. Sent "Welcome to Manchdster Sancho | All Goals And Assists" videos to your mom. Now after he failed to score in two glorified friendlies, with the likes of Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips in the squad, he's shit and not worth it. Sterling and Kane were also in the squad, they must be wank as well. When even did he last play before those matches? God forbid if we get Sancho and he won't score every week.

That's why that little gremlin is overhyped to the hIgh heavens, never accomplished much for Argentina in spite of being surrounded by talent. 'World' class my arse

Am I doing it right?

God forbid we get Sancho and he looks shit in the warm-up. Fans will be calling for him to be pulled out of the starting lineup.

Weird briefing to be making..
The concern has always been the fee with Dortmund..
This briefing is basically saying the fee is still an issue..

Read the room, buddy! You’re a regular here after all. You might just as well give a firm kick to massive hornets nest and say, don’t get your stripey jackets in a twist, it was just a bit of a laugh.

PS He was shit for England but Messi would have looked shit the way Southgate had the team set up.
