Well duh. We haven’t even made a proper bid yet. He might agitate if we meet their demands.
Very good point. Not sure how any player can agitate for a move unless a genuine cast iron offer has been made.

Else, what is he protesting against?

Kinda sucks he is not coming because of the incompetence of Woodward and Glaziers. But at least now they'll use the rest of the money to beef up the squad which is desperately needed.

Chelsea quickly found an alternative for Sancho with Ajax's talented wide player Ziyech. Our alternative will likely be a panic buy/loan option.

We've most likely left it too late, faffing about trying to get them to lower their demands, IF this happened now we'd still be paying the amount they asked for weeks and weeks ago, so we might as well have done it then, absolutely dumb as usual with this club.

Get Federico Chiesa or something.

Yeah, I remember it well.

The truth is someone I know gave me information and I shared it on here because... why not?

If it doesn’t turn out to be true then, oh well, shit happens.

I shared what I was told in good faith, but I will admit that I’ve enjoyed winding a few people up today based on their over emotional reactions.

There’s one guy in India saying he’s not been to sleep and got pissed because of my update which will impact his work tomorrow. If that’s not a wind up then he needs to sort his life out
My auntie once dated Denise Van Outen

Didn't make her any better at announcements or indeed, cooking full breakfasts.

Ban hammer.

Well the Glaziers got Tampa Brady so I expect nothing less then Messi as an alternative to Sancho.

United seem to put all their focus and effort on that one particular individual with the absolute confidence (possible arrogance too) that they will eventually strike a deal with that players particular parent club.
I dont think alternatives even come into the conversation with our management.

UTD! I am not fond of the Glazers.
Either we don't want to pay the 108 million pounds or we don't have the money. We all know Dortmund wont sell for less. So to be honest don't really see the reasoning for prolonging this deal from happening. Can anybody explain, or give valid arguments as why United are not finishing this one way or another.

Because no one in the German media has reported a bid from us, my guess is that we're still going through the agents to find a deal that Dortmund will accept. Going through agents will take more time than by submitting a formal bid to Dortmund, but we'll have hope of forming a deal that they'll accept the first time.

Usual suspects who have been super negative for months still being negative, surprise surprise.
One shitty article and everyone soils their pants! This is happening even if it’s late into the window!

I refuse to believe that submitting a bid is this hard and takes this much time.

You've never been confident
Absolute rubbish, but sure, if you say so. It's just extremely clear to me at this stage that we just can't justify such an outlay on a single player, if you feel otherwise, all power to you though

It's not that submitting a bid is hard, it's the fact that submitting the right bid is hard. We tried negotiating with Dortmund earlier on, but they made us go through agents instead. That's why we haven't submitted a bid yet; Dortmund only want 120 million Euros guaranteed, but we're still trying to negotiate a better deal via the agents.

For the first time I actually feel this one may be slipping away, don't have that confident feeling that we'll sign him at this point, think if he was to be a United player he'd be one by now. VDP being our signing of the summer would be depressing but I'd also be pretty disheartened if we signed Bale. Our alternative needs to be an actual alternative, not a Sanchez type signing.

Do you honestly believe we can still negotiate a better deal because personally can only see this happening by paying the required 120m euros in two maybe three instalments

Who would you want then?

Wonder who is top of the alternative RW targets list even though of course would rather we didn't have to go down that round and find out
Anyone bar Dembele would be a clear downgrade. If we can get his fitness sorted, we'd have a player just as capable as Sancho. Not sure if Barca would wanna sell this late in the window though, nor if we could afford his valuation

People say there will be a lot of competitions next year, but forget that this pandemic is very likely going into next year.

Let Dortmund keep him for another year and see how they will cope financially with another year like this with no crowds and potential 2nd wave coming in this winter.
