I'm so angry I don't know where to begin. The obvious place is the defence: Lindelof and Maguire were an utter disgrace to the jersey all afternoon. All good teams have a solid defence; ours is soft as shite. Pogba was appalling, McTominay pitiful, Dan James and Rashford were a waste of space.

Day one of the season and massive problems all over the place. The better team won today, and we can't clutch at straws with the penalty debacle; Palace created more and always looked more dangerous. Crystal Palace at Old Trafford!

How many false dawns will we have before we get our act together? I don't know what we do next; I'm disgusted.

The players, the manager, the board....we just look clueless everywhere.

Might be a bit kneejerk but I think this will be Ole's final season.

Sancho and Telles won't help with disgraceful, gutless performances like today.

Coming back into the new season so unfit is shameful regardless of no pre season, other teams didn't come back so unfit and rusty.

McTominay and James should never play for this club again. Will never get to the level we need to even challenge for top 4 year in year out, never mind back to winning the PL.

Pogba didn't even look bothered and yes on his day he is unplayable but he has far too many games where he is shocking and just looks lazy and uninterested.

£80M for Maguire is madness and Lindelof is worse than Bailly and Smalling, he is meant to be a ball playing cb but he is rubbish on the ball.

Rashford will also never be good enough for where the club aspire to be. Since returning from injury he has been awful. He might play great on a good day but on a bad day he is one of the worst attackers to ever play for Manchester United. This is not hyperbole, I have literally not seen more than five strikers in the history of the PL as bad as him on a bad day. His bottom level is appalling.

Fernandes was shocking today as well.

Lindelof was shit, but the rest of the team were just as bad. We didn't do anything all game, it was prime LVG levels of shite.

got what we deserved

But its fine, the adidas money doesn't get threatened unless we miss top 4 two years in a row, so the dividends are safe this year. We all know that is what really matters

Not surprised we lost given our lack of match fitness. Very disappointed with Lindelof though - cost us big time.

That was an embarrassing performance. The penalty stuff was shocking, but we deserved to lose that match.

Thoroughly deserved result. There will be a LOT more where that came from this season with our lack of depth.

Why does Maguire seem to be tasked with build up play. Dude dribbles like his kicks are still boxed.

Dire from the start, hope this at least inspires some movement in the transfer window but we were seriously shit, 0-2 vs Burnley shit.

We aren't ready to start the season yet, simple as that. We're unfit, players arent sharp, we arent organised. Analysing tactics and individual performances is almost moot if your players just aren't ready to play yet. We've had, what, two weeks off, a few training sessions (interrupted by internationals) and one preseason friendly? Being in the Europa this summer really looks like it might screw us.
