Fred is a much better DM than him; he exceeds McTominay in every stat but heading. The guy can also pass, unlike McTominay.

Fred is also the safest with the ball. Stupid to play McTominay when the midfield of Fred, Fernandes, and Pogba dominated Seville's midfield, who are a better team than Crystal Palace.

Then there is the exclusion of Greenwood in favour of James, which is madness. Anyone could say that James was going to be useless today because he is useless every day.

The negative selection helped in putting us on the back foot from the start.
