Underrated? The man has won the CL three times as a manager. And the League in every country he has managed. Italy, Spain, Germany and England. It is astonishing that United did not offer him the job instead of Ole.
Dis he not win it at PSG.

I will but not after 4 games FFS  :houllier:
There were people who thought like you even when Leicester were running away towards a league title with, at the time, unknown players. Some teams win through circumstances, Everton are winning systematically now. Same number of goals scored and conceded as well through 4 games.

I have no idea how Potter gets talked up as much as he does.

Is it because he tells them to pass it about like they're Pep's Barca? I mean it's all well and good but when your players are absolute bums it's just crazy.

Yes, underrated. Because he had to settle for a sabbatical followed by Napoli and now Everton when huge positions were open and he was waiting. Lack of respect.
It really was weird, almost like there was a feeling he was done at the top level. Under performed a bit at Napoli too but great decision by Everton.

Everton have made some very good signings, have a great coach. Think they will do very well this season. Just getting in top 6 might be a challenge if we don't get more signings in.

People getting carried away with our 3rd place. We were only ten points off 10th. We were actually closer to be relegated than winning the league. Let that sink in.

Rightly so after 4 games. You're getting way too carried away.

It's going to be a huge battle between all of us.

Brighton will do well this season. Outplayed Chelsea and United, desperately unlucky to lose both. Decent enough today too but Everton were quality. Dark horses for a top half spot.

Ancelotti is capable of being meh too
With Ancelotti when it's good it's very good (as we're seeing now) but when it's meh it's meh. The meh parts got him sacked by Chelsea, Real and Bayern despite winning a major trophy at all three. It's why he's underachieved in terms of league wins (when you scale it for the teams he's managed) they get complacent at awfully inappropriate times.

Which is why I know it's strange to say for such a multi winning manager but the Everton job could really suit him, the great moments will in itself be enough to be minimum challenging for top six which will make him a hero there especially if he can too it off with a few trophies on the side.

Everton really looking the business early on. It'll be interesting to see if they can sustain it, starting from the derby next. How poor were we against this Brighton? They looked like peak Barca against us ffs!

Brighton launching dangerous corners in the final minutes of the game one where Pickford flapped at but spent all game playing it short.

Their defence is absolutely shite.

They'll end up getting relegated but people will give them a pass because Potter thinks he's Pep.

This is a myth. Chelsea were crap vs Brighton and scored 3. United were even worse and scored 3. Everton were good and got 4.

Brighton can't defend.

Everton is still short of a world class GK, a reliable CB and some depth in the bench to be considered a contender, but top 4 seems feasible provided that they fill such holes in January imho. As for Carlo, only people living under a rock could think he’s finished... he just got middle age blues, but this project is rejuvenating his juices.

Ancelotti did not win the title in Spain. Atletico won it in 2013-2014 season and the treble winning Barca the following season. He won the Spanish Cup and of course the Champions league with Real though. He won the title in France with PSG also.

Kyle walker will never fit this city team. Always looks like the kid who got into the group by chance and they don't have the heart to drop him.
