Well then...

He'll be an upgrade over Ighalo for sure and 2 years isn't terrible but can't help but find it a bit desperate given how it goes against Ole's stated profile preference. Interested in seeing his wages...

Always been a fan of his though so I'm not mad to have him as a squad option at all

Cavani shits all over Ighalo and can probably offer cover across all three front positions. Not a bad bit of business, not sure why we had to leave it so late.
Being better than Igahlo is now the yardstick. Jesus Christ!

He's nearly 34 and also had serious injury issues. Does he even speak English either? It's got disaster written all over it.

not sure how reliable this guy is
Not at all hopefully, there’s a reason why no one has taken him all summer, as he won’t be worth the wages. Well past his prime and injury prone.

Yikes, I am sure the agent and signing bonuses will be stupid.

Cavani and Phil Jones will be good buddies on the trainer's table.

The exact type of transfer we don't want.

Utterly desperate signing. He's 33 and has suffered a string of injuries in the last few years. Can guarantee you he wasn't a name thought of when the window opened.

Looks like our plan for this window, much like in previous seasons, has gone haywire and we're scrambling around.for.any sort of signing.

Honestly, what the f-k happened to our supposed long term plan and list of options.

All the briefing was we had this long list and we would move to plan B, C, D if plan A failed. Instead we've ended up just having agents push players on us.
We've tried A, B, C and D - and now moved to E. Edinson.

2 year contract isn't the end of the world I guess. Ighalo entirely pointless for the next 3 months. Still reliant on Greenwood on the right, unless Rashford rotates to the right wing pretty frequently this season and Martial to the left wing. (If true). No idea what his level is. Barely played last season. 18/19 played half a season with a great goalscoring record... But at that age, 2 years ago is a long time. My guess is it won't be great but it'll be better than Ighalo, but he'll at least be viable for rotating in the prem and the CL. Hope Greenwood is ready to be a key player though.

Because he doesn’t want to come to England. He’s said in previous interviews that English women are dirty and don’t use a bidet . The only reason he wants to join us is because his first choices don’t want him and we are the only club desperate and can pay his high salary demands.
Bidet’s are horrible. Cavani can feck off.

Don't particularly mind this if its a two year deal. Ighalo looked cooked the last couple of games and he is leaving in January anyways. Cavani would be a solid mentor and competition for Martial and Rashford.

In 2 years Greenwood should be ready to be a number 9.

'Culture reset' we were told. Scratching round on deadline day for pensioners
i think they absolutely bought into their own hype after the bruno signing which lets face it they tried their best to sabotage in their own stupid way. i always felt a smug prick like Ed would be in danger of believing he'd finally got the market sussed. Right back to square one. Even if they sign Sancho they've sucked all the fun and momentum out of it. Bridges burnt with dortmund (who still own at least 2 players we are interested in), endless time and resources wasted only to TRY and pay up full price, and right back to being a laughing stock in the marketplace panic buying and loan shopping on the last day. Same with our pathetic bid for Upamecano and dembele now too. It like an idiot playing a computer game....and thats without going near player sales and contracts. Its there for all to see. shitshow!!

Canplay up front and front the right flank. Add him to Greenwood Rashford and Martial and you have great options. Furthermore he gives Greenwood a mentor.

If we end the window only with Cavani and Van de Beek, Ed should be the first man out of the door.
