I am in hysterics. That was beyond pathetic!
I'm sure we'll soon be hearing "we must try harder" from Slabhead and Ole and "we are not match fit" from the fans.

No excuses for that. Diabolical

Cavani will start the next 3 games probably. Martial might not get his place back.

When it rain it pours.

So let me get this straight, it's OK to elbow a player in the face and get away with it as long as they retaliate ever so slightly?

Club is like a rudderless ship.
We are a mid table club.
Recruitment has been useless.
Management had no direction so now we are stuck with Ole.

I'm just so glad this was a one off, we didn't see this coming and our defence has been amazing for the last 3 years.

We definitely don't need any players also, we got third last season without even trying so they can definitely get 1st this year if they just put some effort in.

At least Cavani will be here tomorrow to sort this mess out, it's the perfect signing in every way.

That red card was a disgrace.
Nah it was a red card. Martial knows the rules as do we all. Any time that happens it results in a red, and the game went to pot afterwards. In fact the game went to pot after the penalty when our defence showed how utterly shambolic they are.

Defeats like these will be good for the club in the long run. Someone will realize, sooner rather than later.

This is where Ole's weaknesses become a little more glaring. Tactically he has been fine as United manager and on the whole, both in the market and PR he has been very good. If he goes, i feel he would have left us in a really good place for a new manager. However, our ability to come back from defeats, rotation and squad management and fixing morale issues are things experienced managers know how to orchestrate. You cannot be a top team and have players looking this unfit and disorganized regardless of the situation. Even if this was the case with Sir Alex, he would have found a way to mask this by playing different. The truth right now is that, we are suffering from a real lack of fitness that should never occur. That is on the manager. Like the window, it almost feels like we weren't prepared for the season.

On a serious note when every single player is seemingly poorly positioned, when there is no synergy and the players seem to not be at the required level of fitness, I don't look at them individually. People shouldn't fool themselves because they want to have a go at specific players, none of them were good, not even Fred, McTominay and VDB who were as bad as the rest when they came on despite what some seem to have imagined. We were still a mess positionally in the second half, the team was shapeless despite the fact that the coaching staff had 30 minutes(15 before half time and then half time) to think about what to do and how to explain it to the players.
This is what concerns me. I'd have expected our coaching staff to make adjustments and set the players' heads straight, but they seemed to have given up as well. We didn't change much in our game, and the players looked disinterested in continuing on.

They'll think we were playing tennis!

It's useless getting any manager unless he's backed by the cnut Ed and the fecking Glazers!
A decent manager and coaching staff should be able to organise that defence. Make good tactical decisions during a game. Yes Ed and the owners are to blame, but so is Ole and definitely his coaching staff.

France - can't win anything with Swedish turnips
Today is my wedding anniversary and is also grandfather's day and we were winning after 90 seconds.

Sort of went downhill after that.

Disgraceful performance by the defence, disgraceful performance from the referee/VAR, Martial/Lamela ridiculous, Pogba penalty harsh and should have sent Shaw off.

Was still expecting us to come back after going 2-1 until the sending off but suicidal defending and a zombie performance in the second half was terrible.

We don't need an overpriced English winger, we needed a top class central defender who is vocal , quick and a hardnut.

Anyway had many bad days like this over the years and we'll bounce back.

Edit, just realised I correctly predicted the starting eleven and all three subs - very small consolation

Evra has gone, he's gonna punch someone.
He said he wanted to ask sky to cancel his contract. Lost it. Can’t blame him, good to see somebody call out the clowns at the club.

His words and Gary’s today will cause waves today, I’m not saying anything will change but at least the Glazers and Ed have maximum pressure on them as a result of their incompetence.

That was coming sadly

Players have looked like they just got out of bed this season in every game and Son looks the complete opposite as does Kane in particular. I feared Son would give us a roasting, Zaha already did and Brighton in the league just couldn't find the net but blitzed us like Spurs today.

There's a severe lack of motivation and training. You can't blame a transfer window not getting Sancho, it's piss poor management from the top down. The Bruno effect masked this and gave a really big lift, Sancho possibly could do that for 4-6 months but the arse will fall out of it like it has done now. We were an absolute shite team before Bruno, one win in 4-5 games.

We keep chucking 50-100m on each player and getting feck all and shows what a poorly run and desperate club we still are post Fergie.

Eric Harrison once said what separates good players from great ones is the level of their floor performance. Scholes had the highest floor performance that when his worst is still higher than many players ceiling.
This apply to teams as well IMO. This team when nothing going for them is ridiculous. No fight, no thinking. This team floor level is Championship team. It's fecking stupid

Didn't watch the game but managed to see Tony's booking and it was never a red.

No matter that, we still would've been slapped, just hate it when such a clear and obvious error occurs. Either show them both yellow or send off both, no in-between.

Other than that, thankfully we have 2 weeks to prepare now.

Focusing on back four players, today we had 230m on the teamsheet. If we had the likes of Fred and Matic into the equation it gets really indecent to talk about transfers and act as if we didn't spend on defensive players.

We don't have 2 weeks to prepare, most of the players are away, so will go into the next game as unprepared as they have been for all of this season.

Of course you, I and many know.

Players invidiual performances = indefensible

Ole not managing to get the players to playing like a team = indefensible

Board/Woodward sanctioning contract extensions and bringing players to the manager's whims with no long term vision = indefensible

However, looking at those three issues, there's only one realistic party here that is going to be replaced. What happens on the pitch is not good enough and that's on Ole. It's incredibly harsh but it is what it is.

Bring in Poch. To me that will the final throw of the dice. If he can't get our team playing to a level then I will truly concede and start critising the board i.e not that it will change anything.
