If I were him I’d be keeping a low profile over the next few days. I don’t know why the Glazers don’t just move him back to where he belongs and get Edwin in to take over the footballing decisions.
Why would Edwin want to work for these guys?

It was quite a contrast to see the product of the quick clean business that spurs had done with Hojberg, Doherty, Reguillon and Vinicius (loan). Each at reasonable cost and addressing clear needs of the squad.

You dont always have to spend big or sign a big name to add quality to a squad.

There will be no progress until Ed takes his grubby hands out of football transfers and operations

There will be no progress whilst the Glazers are involved as well. The only reason we won Championships was because of Fergie's excellent man management, now they have their little puppet in Woodward it was always going to be a recipe for disaster. When this season is over and done with it will be 8yrs since we last won the title and we're still no nearer to winning it now than we were back then, no progress, no direction, no leadership, the whole thing is a total shambles from top to bottom, every ex player, every pundit, every fan can see that the footballing decisions are way beyond Waldorf & Statler's (Woody & Judge) capabilities but they're too egotistical to step down and appoint a DoF, it took Liverpool 30yrs to get back to winning ways, we're heading in the same direction I'm afraid!!

Gary Neville nailed it yesterday. Said the club did well for 3rd and it was up to the Board to continue to progress with a good window. We seem to have made a hash of that and there is all sorts of negativity around the club now and that is one factor.

How can he be aware enough to think he neds extra security but NOT aware enough to realise what a monumentally useless, moronic, resented utterly out of his depth chinless wankboy he is?
If he cared about the club he would have instilled a DoF a long long time ago
If he cared about the club he would have jumped off a bridge long ago
Of course not, but from a personal point of view.

Would you like to wake up every day going to a job that not only do you know, deep down, you're shit at, but that you're so shit at you're going to see your name all over the media being called out for how shit you are?

It would take a mental toll on me; god knows how it hasn't on him.
But you are not so arrogant that you would wake up every day totally convinced you are 100% right and its literally every single other person on earth who is wrong,

Loads of deadwood still about Rojo Jones Lingard etc
10mil euros paid in agents fee for a well past it injury prone Cavani
Paying over the odds for a 27 year old LB in the final year of his contract
The Sancho farce
Unwilling to sell kick and rush James for 10mil profit
Lost Angel Gomes on a free

Worst run club in Europe.

Also, paid 80 million for a CB we could've signed a summer early for much less.

Woodward's plan in every transfer window: The PR team report to media that we have 200 millions transfer budget. Then, when it comes to:
Summer - How much revenue that we earned in pre-season tour? Yep it will be our transfer budget.
Winter - How much revenue that we earned on boxing day? Yep it will be our transfer budget.

How is a man who fails at his job for the last 8 years consistently keeping his job?

The problem is bigger than most people think. Ed Woodward placed the Glazers here. The Glazers love him because he makes them money.

The Glazers don't care about football.

Woodward gets bonuses every year and all he has to do is take 2/3 weeks of social media hate.

Who wouldn't want that job? You fail at your job, you make alot of money all for 2 weeks of hate during the transfer window.

Give peas a chance.
Said it time and time again. Our club will not progress in any meaningful way until this clown is as far away from the football side of the business as humanly possible. He's an expert in failure, however you want to paint it.

I didn’t know Arnold was in the same friendship group as Woodward and Judge from Bristol Uni

Wow, it truly is some jobs for the boys shit, and it isn’t that ex-SAF players contingent.

Sad thing is he won’t step down or change things because he feels he will get it right at some point. The old scatter gun approach.

and the owners won’t care as he’s been a good servant to them. Sigh

I love Manchester United but that man and the men above him is making it truly difficult to support the club. The club is chaos.

Ridiculous wages, contract extentions for our deadwood, scatter gun approach in the market, targeting the wrong players.

There's just no hope as long as Woodward is in charge of our sporting development. If only the Glazers would bring in someone with sporting experience, a clear and clever vision..

Should have sorted out loan deals for a temp RW far sooner than 3 days before deadline day once Sancho looked like it was down the drain (which actually was in a slow decline to death since Aug 10th).

To leave that position unaddressed, once again, is criminal.

Glazers must love Woodward and Judge knowing a large portion of fan discontent will be directed their direction rather than the actual owners / people who sign the cheques. Woodward is a nobody.

RedCafe Ninja. Stalks the forum undercover, then w
Rant warning:
I try and stay positive with all things Man United. I'm normally in the "if the don't have anything nice to say, don't bother" camp, but...

Its deadline day, and there's a good chance we could bring in a couple of players. Well woop de feckin woop. I couldn't care less if we brought in Messi & Ronaldo. Too little too feckin late Woodward! Last season finished on a major high and gave us all hope that we'd be back, if not winning, then certainly challenging for the title again. The stage was set, and Van De Beek was a great start. The fixtures came out and boom 4 very winnable games to lay down a marker. Sancho rumours started and all's looking good... then months go by, and nothing happens (apart from ALL our rivals quietly strengthen without any fuss, drama or pianos!). The season then starts and its a disaster. Palace were yards ahead of us in thought and deed. The perfect time to act fast and gets some deals done. Nothing. We scrape 3 points v Brighton in the 100th minute, using all a whole seasons worth of luck in doing so. Act now, signings please!! Nothing. The second string does well to keep us in the cup, then Spurs roll into town...so here we are on deadline day with any possible league challenge in tatters, and confidence shot to pieces. This is Manchester United. How on gods green earth has this been allowed to happen?!?!?

There will be briefings to try to distract/pacify our supporters. Please don't be fooled again, this time it needs to be relentless.
With an empty Old Trafford it'll be an easy storm to sail through.

Angry tweets are simple to ignore.

70,000 chanting "Woodward is a cnut" banners and protests aren't. Then again, United fans have been as passive as the team throughout his tenure.

There are Manutd fans who care about the club, but the club has alot of fans who are not interested in the off field antics.

How are we going to be relentless? We need a strategy that a large proportion of fans will get behind.

FInishing outside the top 4 hurts finances, not winning trophies really kills finances as it means rapid global fanbase drop off....alongside this constantly hiring and sacking managers hurts his rep in the boardroom for sure.

I wish he'd resign or be fired, but I think the Glazer's would need us to fall out of Europe all together for a couple of seasons to consider sacking Ed.

There's a lot I don't get, but I think your average football fan could see that United would probably not finish 4th this season without significant reinforcement. If reports are to be believed and Woodward/his team are constantly trying to negotiate for a cheaper price and practically always failing at that (paid almost the asking price for every player they've purchased) why do they keep doing it? Surely missing out on the Champion's League is going to cost the club more money than splurging that little extra on a player you desperately need and is clearly your no.1 choice?

Baffling.

I worry that they'll just bleed the club dry until it's too late to fix.
