The Dems seem fairly well positioned to compete to take the Senate back

Gardner, McSally, Collins, Tillis - plus potentially both seats in GA, competitive in MT, and now Joni Ernst in IA.

Mississippi also is interesting.

I'm way out of my depth in US politics, but this Lindsey Graham thing feels like 2020's Ted Cruz vs Beto. He's almost certainly going to win, and getting excited about that race is likely just distracting from the more realistic battles.

You are probably right. That's the way these races tend to go, when an exciting liberal candidate runs against a high-profile Republican incumbent.

Doug Jones is the one exception, and he ran against an actual pedophile and only just won.

How educated were the Brownshirts? I know that Nazi Germany placed quite the focus on education, albeit a very slanted curriculum, but I would gather that the Brownshirts fell into the uneducated group as they were essential to the early days of the regime.
They were mainly disgruntled ex-soldiers - the embittered unemployed. I don't know what their general education level was, but I'd guess not much.

It's like the boy who cried wolf .... he's used the word 'fake' so many times (must be numbering in the thousands by now), often several times each day, that it's lost all impact. Most people now see it as just more whining and whingeing.

I find it odd that *those* stories seem to have gone away - the dems in SC should push it for all it is worth right?
Nah. A persons sexuality (unless it's Roy Moore types) should never be a political issue.

Normally I would agree, but we are talking about a christian conservative who is literally trying to make LGBT lives worse right? The hypocrisy is astonishing, and surely the good bible folks of SC would frown upon the quarters Lindsey has been frequenting...

I would still say no. The very act of utilizing conservative christians bigotry against Graham is to legitimize that it is an acceptable and usable thing to be used.

Ive asked a friend of mine about this issue, as he’s a board member for a large LGBT political group in SC... according to him, they don’t want to pursue that angle of attack because they fear it would ultimately be demeaning to the LGBT community itself.
