I believe we have a much more competitive squad this year than last, we won't be knocked out by a couple of injuries and we'll even be able to rest players without resorting to options who simply aren't good enough to play at this level. Investing in depth rather than star power, I believe it was a sound decision. Downside to this though, the pressure is now on as there are no excuses not to mount a serious challenge, and at the very least we should look like a thoroughly solidified top-four side throughout this campaign.
So far however, our current regime has delivered everything I expected and I'm hopeful they'll keep it up. The next couple of matches will tell us a lot in that regard, and either way, for the first time in years, I'm super-excited about this team.
