    Awb Tuanzebe Maguire Telles
    Vdb Fred
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Cavani

I go with Van De beek as I don't think we need two defence minded players in the pivot in this fixture, the other option would be Pogba and I don't trust him(a good fixture to try Vdb Fred pivot) I'll go with Cavani up top to give Telles a target for his crosses, either Martial or Rashford on the left depending on who is fitter

I'd like us to persevere with the diamond as I think it makes best use of our players...... My preferred team for the weekend:-

    - - - - - - - - - De Gea
    - - - - Tuanzebe - Maguire
    AWB - - - - - - - Fred- - - - - - - - Telles
    - - - - - - DVB - - - - - - Pogba
    - - - - - - - - - - - Bruno
    - - - - - - - Cavani - Rashford

Who knew we had such a poor recent record against these lot?

I genuinely think this might be a 2-2 draw or some shit :nervous:

I don't understand why anyone wants Pogba in the team. He's a disaster waiting to happen outside of playing in a 10 and we've got Bruno for that.

Finally football is back. Feels like ages since we last played.

I'll go on with a normal formation. I think there won't be surprises, except if injuries happened.

    De Gea
    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Telles
    Scott - Fred
    Bruno
    Greenwood - Martial - Rashford

If Rashford isn't possible then I'll put Martial left and start Cavani. Mate on the right and Greenwood centrally is also a possible combination and since WBA are going to set deep, Mata can do well against them.

Should be a comfortable night and easy win. 3-0 for us.

If we can lose against Instabul, we can lose against anyone. This is the unfortunare low standard that is presented here at United at the moment. This should be an easy victory, even with our current management team. I expect a 4-0 victory, our player quality will be too much for West Brom to handle.

Eh what ? I take it youre joking . Most internationals other than WC Euros etc are meh and if your Irish like me its even worse . Look forward to watching United again and see if we get Jekyll or Hyde this week
I am mate, it was tongue and cheek, i sometimes feel this place is turning into RAWK with how serious people can be, and I have to watch Scotland so equally as painful

Ole: “Mason is fitter. He had eight or nine days away from us which is long time. He’s been training hard this week in the gym and on the grass. He’ll be back soon.”

    ...soon?

I mean, I’m Ole out as he is just so inconsistent, but there’s no need to slag him off at every opportunity. You do it every time, especially in the sack or keep and Poch threads.

When you look at our team and the position we are in the league, plus our finish last season, this shouldn't be our standards and if we accept this, we will transform into Arsenal rather than go back to United glory day. I don't slag him off at every opportunity. I try to set my expectations with the United standard of expectations. This match against West Brom, should be a very easy victory, but with the inconsistency of the team, even this game can be a surprise

The more I think about it, 433 might be the better way to go. We need to accept that we have forwards rather than wingers and adjust accordingly. Fernandes has the workrate and long passing to come a little bit deeper rather than rotate with the front 3. We don't do enough bringing the ball up to the final third of the pitch, so having a front 4 doesn't make sense in that regard, as the midfield clearly needs more support.

The reason I’m Ole out in the first place is because I don’t think we should tolerate our shocking start to this season as if we do and “give him time”, we will turn into a mid table side. The end of 2018-19 comes to mind too. I don’t think you should complain about last season so much though, as United expectations or not, with this squad, 3rd was the best we could have hoped for. There is no doubt about that. It’s the same this season.

For the record, I think we’ll smash WBA.

By the sounds of the presser, don't think Greenwood starts here. Probably Mata on the right.

Mata is usually a good option to start after an international break as he had the rest as well as the training.

    Embarrassing post, deary me.
Oh do shut up. The fact Ole has left him out of most of his teams would suggest he agrees. Go and read the Paul Pogba thread, pretty much everyone wants him gone at this point and rightly so. No other player switches off and strolls around the park for United. He can't be trusted anywhere near the box, as has been shown time and time again. His handball to protect his precious face and his most recent penalty are fine examples. Not to mention the number of time he tries some trick inside our half to give the ball away.

And how many times he falls over or stumbles on the ball in front of opponents box and ignores easy options. He used to have a good shot on him now he just wastes good opportunities and ruins our attacks, such a shame...
