I liked it too.

Even the stuff with the child, which seemed to send the internet / twitter into a meltdown because of women losing their babies or something?
Ha, really? Because humans don't eat millions of eggs everyday!?

The child wanting to eat literally everything is pretty much his main character trait.

Love the show.
Also enjoy Mando's various references of Baby Yoda - "My friend here", "The Child', "The Foundling". Not sure, just find it adorable how he goes from "child" to "friend"

@Annihilate Now! @Heardy
I cant find the tweet by the creator saying how it was a running joke, but the responses to it were so OTT
In fact look at responses to this:

Ive seen people saying 'cancel baby yoda'. And there were articles and such too. It seemed like madness for something thats not even real and story.
Not only that, but the child eating the spider egg was worse.

It was a tweet by PhilSzostak but looks like he deleted it (saying it was meant to be disturbing comedy or something)
The responses were crazy.

I’ve just been about it. Absolutely mental that people have to find flaws in everything.

The frog lady was so concerned about her last eggs that she didn’t even notice a half dozen had gone missing!! Cannot understand why people take things so seriously.

This whole cancel culture is ridiculous.

Cancel Baby Yoda! Imagine the reaction if he turns to the Dark Side

On a side-note, I'd like to know the secret to how Bo-Katan's barely aged since the Clone Wars...

She must have a great skin care regimen. Plus the helmet must block a lot of the suns harmful rays that can age a person.

I think she did as she got quite protective of them (in Baby Yoda’s presence) closer to the end, but she clearly didn’t hold any grudge against him after she got to her husband with some eggs. Which clearly shows that she didn’t care about the eggs individually, but rather about the survival of her species in general, and the amount of the eggs is that high in the beginning exactly because they’re disposable.

Cancel Baby Yoda

I mean, they’ve exterminated a whole spider nest (they were the intruders and the aggressors after all), and who knows how many of those were on this lifeless planet... surely that’s a bigger problem.

I keep seeing "survival of her species", it's not survival of her entire species, it's survival of her personal line.

Baby Yoda and the big-headed dude from the last movies (I know that he wasn’t named Smaug, but that’s the closest I can do) would’ve been the cutest sith duo ever.

She was talking very dramatically about that, so I wasn’t sure. Anyway, who cares about frogs!

I keep forgetting the credits are like 5-6 minutes long so the episodes always end before I expect it to.

Alright episode. Gina Carano is ripped.

Good episode. The cinematography is excellent. Baby Yoda trying to fix the ship

Was the ending hinting at Dark Troopers?

With regards to Baby Yoda & the lab...if I understood it correctly, the doctor took blood from Baby Yoda & tried to inject it with another person but the donees didn’t accept the blood so the experiments failed? I’m thinking this means the baby isn’t a clone itself as if they had his DNA already, surely they’d just use that to create more?! This could link to the movies/EU books & the potential cloning of certain characters.

Solid episode this. Lots of information dropped on plot and backstory.

We really should have an meetup of Sackhoff, Olyphant, Carano in a double episode.
Would be great to see more of Bo-Katan. That was a good episode, and we didn’t even get the big reveal (edit: just to be safe-not a spoiler, it was already mentioned in a previous episode) yet so there’s a lot to look forward to.

Also, how cool is Giancarlo Esposito? Killing it as a villain everywhere it seems.

Loved it again. The season has been great.

Can't remember a TV show with a budget like this other than maybe GoT.

What time does the show release UK time on a Friday?

I watch it by other means than Disney so never sure. Watched all the available ones last night it's very enjoyable. I have only just twigged who the lead actor is after watching him for so long in those other shows. Couldn't have been paying attention at the right times last season.

Another fun episode... Like that Mr. Kim from Kims Convenience popping up again, and getting more lines.

I hate the term filler episode

Feels like every TV show thread has people saying filler episode even when it's not?

Baby Yoda always trying to eat is a mood

Don't think this was a filler episode. We finally get some information on what Moff Gideon was doing and why he wants Baby Yoda. Probably the first episode which hints at the macro plot, so is quite significant.

Liked this better than previous ones, we Mando didn't end up fighting random monsters and spiders. This was set firmly in SW main plotline.

Is this first episode directed by Carl Weathers himself? Liked it. Was crisp, had good turns and smoothly balanced between Mando's exploits while furthering the plot. He really should direct more.

Ripped? She’s gained a ton of weight. Not that it matters. But ripped she is not.

Of greater concern is that she’s a right wing, conspiracy peddling, Trump loving loon.

Really? Dunno, I thought her arms looked ripped anyway.

Didn't know about the Trump stuff.

What she is rocking is not what the term ‘ripped‘ means. Not that that is a bad thing, as she can pull it off well.

It is a shame about her social media BS; it is a more valid reason for a controversy than Baby Yoda eating eggs though.

We're midway through season two, and given the premise set in the last episode you'd expect things to step up.

Instead you get a pit stop en route to Ahsoka Tano with literally two lines which progressed the plot in this episode - one mentioning why they needed Baby Yoda , the other about a tracker (which they can show by just adding a scene later on). There is no character arc development for any character, main or otherwise. Greef talks, Dune fights, Mando improvises. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining. The Baby Yoda cable fix scene, stormtroopers missing shots, the fun speeder/TIE fighter chase - it was a well directed episode. But I just don't see how this isn't another typical filler episode.

Going by that logic, you can say the whole series is a filler series. The spider episode was a filler, this is not.

Don't see how my reasoning applies the same filter to all episodes. Also, it is possible for multiple episodes to be fillers? For an episode to not count as filler, like I said, I'd simply like main plot progression or character arc development.

Season One, for instance. Only episodes 5 and 6 (The Gunslinger and The Prisoner) were fillers, the other six all take the main plot significantly forward by either introducing key characters or showing us definiing decisions they make which ends up modifying their arcs.
Season Two, in my definition already had two filler episodes - The Passenger and The Marshal. Now The Seige goes into the list as well.

I watched the first two episodes and found them good fun.

I love the way the show hints towards the wider franchise and them drops that train of thought almost instantly, as if to say "this ain't your conservative middlebrow Star Wars".

I also love that the story is so stagnant, with almost no progression, dreary character development or fussy exposition. It's a goofy adventure of the week show, with the perpetual search serving merely as a peg to hang it all on. Like an episode of Thundercats or willy Fog.

Creative silliness, with a new Muppet every week. It's almost as if it's made by people who hate the po-faced dipshittery of Star Wars.
