Okay, thanks. I'm not complaining about the sale, I've got a couple of games from it but didn't know if there would be more on Black Friday weekend. I usually buy discs so I'm not that familiar with the PS Store.
The millionaire game came out only a few weeks ago, so might be on sale for Xmas. Disc version should be.

Just got done playing Blood and Truth on PSVR/PS5... It looks great, better image quality and sharp as feck

Sony are really shite at getting their message across, they had me and a lot of people thinking there wouldn't be any (or much of an) improvement on PS5. Idiots... Can't wait to see the rest of my VR games patched.

Is there anyone who has used the console on a 4K 120hz TV ? If so please what are your experiences.

I've got a Samsung 65' 4K LED but I'm contemplating going for either a QLED or OLED (running 120) however unsure if the change in the motion elements is really worth such hassle.
Not sure it supports anything more than 60hz?
Putting the stand on is the very first thing in the little manual that comes with the console. I'll never understand people who don't at least check the manual of a brand new expensive piece of equipment.
Who the hell gets a PS5 and the first thing you do is read the manual  probably a wise idea though

Has anyone else had issues with the trackpad on the DS5? It works as a button just fine, but half the times I've gone to swipe on it for something it's been completely unresponsive.

If it is broken, who do you think it'd be better to contact, ShopTo who I bought the console off, or Sony?
Test it in Astrobot, there is a mode which uses nothing but the trackpad.

I would just buy a new one from Amazon and give them your current controller back if you got any problem. @DixieDean is a expert at that. Just make sure you haven’t got a high returns rate at Amazon.

Prior to what the internet would lead you to believe rest mode has had no issues at all. I didn’t transfer any PS4 data and always exit the game before putting it into rest mode.

I've rolled the dice on rest mode since last night so I can charge my contollers.

There were no issues this morning so touch wood it doesn't crash during the day.

Well that’s defeating the point then surely? The main reason to have it on rest mode is so you can instantly turn on the console and jump straight back into the game where you left off.

Not with the speeds in which it boots in to a game cold. The main reasons are downloading games and updates while not using it and charging the controller (although I’ve got the charging dock so that one I’m not bothered about). Think the “quick resume” if you will Is nice to have but not essential so until it’s fixed, I’ll be doing the same and closing games.

I thought it was more so that i don't have to wait 4 hours for that ridiculous 60gb cod patch as its already downloaded it in rest mode while i'm at work. I can happily deal with the 20 seconds it takes to put a disk in and load up my game.

Plus i don't have to get up to turn the thing on.

Okay fair point that’s another advantage and I can’t speak yet to the rapid ps5 load times. I’m just used to picking up right where I left off on PS4 so it will be a backwards step for me if they don’t get rest mode working as well as that.

Yeah all good points and you are right I use rest mode for those things too. I do think it’s useful though being able to jump right where you left off especially if you do that mid mission or something which can happen.

That feature caused so many issues with me, audio sync issues, framerate issues that i never used it.

The idea is fantastic but it was too buggy in ps4 for me, looks like the issues have never been solved.

Really? I can honestly say in my whole 7 years with the PS4 I never encountered an issue. I have it on all the time! Didn’t even know people had issues.

Same. I've used rest mode for ps4 since it launched and never once across two ps4 consoles had a single issue with it.

Been using it with ps5 so far constantly and it's working perfectly for me so far. I've used it with ps4 games still running and with Astro and Bugsnax, again, zero issues.

Ahh that’s good to hear. I’m reluctant to treat my PS5 any differently to how I want to use it. If that causes issues so be it but I’d rather find out my console is faulty while it’s under warranty. I suspect for the majority there will be no issues at all and it will work as intended. People are probably being over cautious.

Officially the best poker player on RAWK.
Major crash on the PS5 just now, this fecking thing is broken

Sound, but grey screen with occasional little colours. I reckon it's the HDMI output to the tv, good news is if it's what I think it is then it could be a software fix. I had to pull the plug on both the unit and my TV to get it back working.

35 seconds on this one. Ranked 514 in the world, christ knows how to shave another 5 seconds off to get top spot.

Mate that is well impressive

I am so bad at the ball / touchpad controls. For me, even astro fails to make good on the touchpad.

But seems your subtle touch works a dream.

I thought I was doing well on the monkey level until I saw the world record was something like 18 seconds

Anyone else take an embarrasingly long time to work out that monkey climb speedrun one required the delicate trigger squeezes to be able to use the handholds that break easily?

I was swearing my head off for a good few minutes trying to figure out why I couldn't use them without them breaking.

I felt so daft once I realised

Mind if I add you? I’m enjoying competing for top spot on these runs, what’s your time on the ice one? I’m about 39.5 on it I believe.

Hmmm, think I'm gonna disable rest mode until Sony confirm what the issue is and whether it can be patched. Certainly seems to be the starting point for most of these crashes.
