They a really good team IMO, far more impressive than RB.

I like it. I think Fred has shown to be better than this. If he can play a little bit like Kante, it'd be brill. What are we making of the midfield, so far?
Would like to see this midfield more often. Also, Cavani.
Must be joking.I get that we want to play out from the back, what I don’t get is why we insist on building the whole thing around Maguire. I genuinely don’t think he’s any better on the ball than Smalling.
Don't remind me. I was enjoying in nice football and you reminded me that on weekend i will again see Scott Mctominay in first 11Defending is bit off.. Fred and VDB not a great pair for that.. can see why Ole goes for Scott with Fred
Come on, I've been criticizing him in this thread, but that's genuinely ridiculous.I get that we want to play out from the back, what I don’t get is why we insist on building the whole thing around Maguire. I genuinely don’t think he’s any better on the ball than Smalling.
Very light through the middle defensively, but they're very mobile and competent at popping it up and down. Think we could maybe get away with it against the weakest sides in the league. What are we making of the midfield, so far?

He never looks in control of the ballMust be joking.
He's not as hesitant as Smalling was.I get that we want to play out from the back, what I don’t get is why we insist on building the whole thing around Maguire. I genuinely don’t think he’s any better on the ball than Smalling.
Even when we're winning 2-0 you still find a way to complain about McTominay.Don't remind me. I was enjoying in nice football and you reminded me that on weekend i will again see Scott Mctominay in first 11
That my friend, is an over exaggerated statement. He never looks in control of the ball
He needs to win the ball back somehowStop losing the ball Fred
Maguire is a better long passer, but on the ball they’re both pretty poor in my opinion.Come on, I've been criticizing him in this thread, but that's genuinely ridiculous.
That went out the window years ago. Teams who won the league started to find form earlier and earlier. Gary Neville said that Mourinho's Chelsea upped the bar. You couldn't just wait to find some form mid season. You'd be out of the race!Fergie always timed it for December/Jan and for the end of the season. It's a rare skills me thinks
Against weaker teams, yes. No need for Fred and McTominay when we are strong favourites.
I like it. I think Fred has shown to be better than this. If he can play a little bit like Kante, it'd be brill.
Yeah, tempted to agree with all of that. In a game where we're going to see a lot of the ball or a game against weaker opposition, then I'd like to see this side more often. It almost highlights how much we need a top class CDM, though, unless Fred can up it again another level.Very light through the middle defensively, but they're very mobile and competent at popping it up and down. Think we could maybe get away with it against the weakest sides in the league.
