Feels like he could've taken that with his head, but just wanted to rub it in or what was that?
How the feck are Gladbach basically 9-0 up against Shakhtar after 135 mins (1.5 games)? Who would've ever guessed that. Incredible.
Aren't Shaktar missing, or have missed, alot of players due to covid? Though they did really well in their first two matches getting 4 points of Inter and Real.

If Embolo had that kind of ruthlessness in him Gladbach would have a lot less worries in the league :D

Just months ago RBL were without Ibrahima Konate against PSG who IMO is their best CB.

The rest of your post concerning Thiago Silva has no correlation to my post.
The point re Thiago Silva is same as Konate unavailability for game vs PSG. PSG got weakened losing their leader and best CB for the last few years, not only in defensive aspect but as well as ability to playing out. Leipzig improves with Konate but not without perfect (the Rashford point).

Yea. He's been average since joining the BL, I mean he had great workrate but when it comes to actually striking he's poor.

They may well be, but Gladbach haven't just been fluking it against bad opposition. Even though Shakhtar apparently are finding no answer to Gladbach's style of play, Gladbach have seriously had some brilliant passages of play in their games so far in the group.

They've been so inventive with their attacking and have scored some brilliant goals in all 4 games. Examples would be that insane 50 yard ground pass by Neuhaus against Inter for Hofmann's goal, Thuram's first against Real, Plea's long range hit in the first game against Shakhtar, and today's first and third goals. Incredible collection of goals so far for Gladbach.

If you watched carefully you could see some of his shortcomings even in compilations. The announcement video for him was peak Schalke:

I respect him for playing a decent role at Gladbach though, despite looking all but hopeless for his former club.

I really hope those two early draws aren't going to haunt Gladbach. They deserve to get out of this group.

Will be interesting to see Romero for Atalanta tonight Vs. Liverpool. Was a player I suggested might be a cheaper solution than some of the big names for our summer CB, ended up signing for Atalana from Juventus on a loan plus buy option iirc. Seems to have started the season well statistically and he'll have a good test tonight to see what hes made of.

How does Vazquez start games like this for Madrid? Haven't watched Real much this season, but can't say I've ever been even remotely impressed when I've seen him play in the past. Has he improved much?

Would this be the third year in a row Inter go out in the group stages?

Atalanta have Disphit playing for them judging by my commentator.

We need to score the second, fast. At least a 2 goals lead into the second half, otherwise we won't win

Klopp doesn’t respect Atalanta at all. OrigI, Tsimikis, Neco Williams, Rhys Williams was on loan in non-league last season. Even with the injuries he wouldn’t play this side against any Premier League team.
