Our supposed nightmare transfer window is suddenly looking like a considerable success. Cavani and Van de Beek are becoming increasingly more influential. If Diallo can be a big success, then we'll be able to look back at that transfer window very fondly.
Then it would be extremely lucky, still doesn't absolve the owners and board of failing to back the manager.

According to the experts and former strikers he has the best movement in as a striker. As long as we get the ball in those areas he is going to score.
I don't think any of our other strikers would have scored those two goals. They would have never even got close to the ball. Credit to Ole for bringing him on at half time.
Our other strikers can barely head a ball never mind have that movement  .

I'm probably being a little harsh. But it's great to see Cavani playing for United.

Hmmm... he’s been backed with a shed tonne of money so far @Kaos, and in this corona-Summer he got a very good left back, one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe and a top class striker.

If “backing him” means spending whatever it costs to bring in target number 1, well ok but 100m+ for Sancho is looking more like stupidity than a smart run club backing their manager.

Well our free signing whom many were against and thought he's in it for the money alone saved our arse on his own today, so great business from Woodward and owners I guess.

This is what a proper striker looks like. Sadly he is on his last legs and we cannot expect same performance from him week in week out. Wish we had him or somebody like him immediately post Fergie.

Reminded me today a lot of RVP as in he was the only player in the team that could score the goals he did.

He’s what Falcao should have been when he arrived under LVG.

Could he be in trouble for this?

yes, of course he will. It’s his fault that he has to account to every language there is in the world, when writing in Spanish. Especially when he don’t speak the language of the people he seems to have offended.

Can I just shock you? I like Anthony Martial. Despite what I just said earlier.

Not in the context of abuse so likely to be ok but Suarez comparisons will be inevitable.

Context matters. He is not using the word in an argument or to wind up the poster.

Even /r/soccer is taking Cavani's side here. They are usually the first to go absolutely insane if anyone connected to football does something marginally cancel-worthy.

In any case, it's not remotely close to the Suarez incident. Context matters.

Crap. He'll punished for it. Hopefully nothing more than 1 game ban or so.

Almost certainly and deservedly so i'm afraid. What a stupid thing to do, especially after he saw what happened to Suarez all those years ago. I think they will probably go all out on punishment for this probably 8 games.
He won’t be at all. You can’t compare that to Suarez ffs

Bernardo silva got a 1 match ban for something similar.

No chance. When uttered by a South American, that particular word is generally harmless. Suarez wasn't punished specifically for using that word. It was the context in which he used it that doomed him. He clearly meant to be insulting, and thus it changes everything.

Its at best stupid lads. He will have followed the Suarez affair. Use some fecking common sense when you are a long way from home.

Just as you or I would.

Yeah it's more akin to Bernardo than Suarez. He'll likely get one match and be sent for re-neducation.

It’s really not even worthy of a ban but they’ll have to remain consistent unfortunately.
