Finally some sense in this thread. Ole clearly the worst human being in the entire planet, and all those who don't see it are just blinkered fools.

List of the worst people in the world right now :

    1. Ole
    2. Trump
    3. Boris Johnson
    4. King Jong Un
    5. Cuneyt Cakir
I’ll never forgive cnuty Cakir for sending off Nani. Changed everything in that match.

Not sure I’d lump Ole in the same group as the sociopathic fukks, Trump and Un. Seems a bit harsh.

If only this meant 4231 with Bruno right, Rashford left and Pogba behind Greenwood. But it's likely another attempt at that diamond without a proper defensive midfielder. Sterling and Mahrez are gonna have a fun night at least. Sigh.

Way too much negativity on this thread. I miss the buzz of excitement and hope we used to have. We have Bruno so you have to have hope!!

You're right, it does seem harsh on Kim Jong, he is still only relatively young.

If Fred and Mctominay are the sitting midfielders, and Pogba playing further forward, I'm quite upbeat about this match. Play players in their best positions.

Roy Keane and Micah Richards would be a great couple.

I reckon VDB is Pogba’s replacement and as soon as he goes you gonna see the real Donny...Ole and Van De Sar have a good relationship to the point he wants to feed us more players. Trust the process.

Don’t be mad at Pogba starting...we want good money for him...hopefully in January.

Always been a “Pogba fanboy” by the way...but I know when it’s time...and its time for him to go.
I like Pogba and would rather us keep him but that ship has sailed, however there needs to be some punishment for what he has said through his agent. The huge lack of respect to us fans and the club shouldn't be rewarded with starts. The thing is though Ole is desperate to keep his job and knows a Pogba on form can help him.

I personally can't wait for both to go, hopefully both by the end of January.

The good news is that we've finally organized a boycott against Ole. Nobody showing up at the game today. This will send a clear message to the powers that be !!

Never seen Pep play two sitters in a 4-2-3-1 since 2016-17. Hopefully it’s a tactical mess up and we win. Pogba inspires zero confidence though. Ole is a desperate man. Any competent, secure manager banishes Pogba to the reserves and uses Martial, VdB or even James instead, just because of his behaviour. Honestly, it just makes Ole look like a doormat loser. Harsh but true, and you all know it. Still though, hope we absolutely destroy City, no matter my feelings about the manager.

Fernandinho with his first foul before 7 minutes. Interesting that Cancelo starts at LB, he's been better at RB this year. I don't rate Gabriel J that much, but as long as he's running around with KDB behind him, need to mark KDB from the half way line to wherever he goes. Slow down KDB, slow down City.
Gabriel Jesus is very underrated. 102 goal contributions from 161 appearances for City.

No excuses for a slow start today, if we do then we’ll get smashed. If a derby games doesn’t get you focused and energised nothing will.

Just watching Ole laughing like a muppet and it hits me. The worst thing about this whole situation is that his legacy is ruined for me. I dislike him now. I never thought it would happen. The man is just nowhere near good enough for this job or this level, and instead of him being serious enough to take it seriously, he's laughing and smiling like its all going great.

Absolutely this. We are not playing to win. We almost are fielding ten men as Fred & McT duplicate each other so much.

There’s nothing offensive about this lineup save for how offensive it is.
Yep. If we had splurged on Partey or his ilk, instead of VDB we could have had an extra attacking player on the pitch. What other top team would have 2 average players for the same role at the same time?

They weren't. Tuesday was when the media got a hold of it.

well quotes don't count if no one knows about them. they broke on tuesday - you can spin it anyway you want but it's one goal - and that was going in until it hit Maguire

More random formations and teams we haven't played for ages. We wonder why our performances are so up and down. There is absolutely no width again, but it should stifle City's possession at least.

I agree with Keano - DDG worries me. Just so out of form/doesn't seem to care...

Our one hope is if we get the ball to Greenwood, who looks to be playing up top

Grealish and Sancho would have cost a combined 180 million pounds. Do you really think that was possible? Grealish was probably our first choice but as soon as Villa stayed up we weren’t spending 80 mill on him.
We paid 35m for VDB who Ole clearly didn't want. We spent 20m plus 20 in future add ons for this kid from Atalanta.

LVG said Woodward was clueless. Jose fell out with him. Now Ole clearly has different ideas.

Doesn't take a genius to see where the Real issue is.

Seems pretty obvious that Donny will step in for Pogba once the French international is sold in January. A player as disrespectful as Pogba by right shouldn’t start, but an outstanding performance today increases his transfer fee.

Let’s pray he puts in a worldie of a performance today.

But the thing is, VDB isn't even close to the profile of player. So spend yes, but buy wrong?

VdB is more central than Grealish and Sancho. He doesn't carry the ball like them nor does he create like them. Does not play wide to central like Sancho and Grealish.

Either push the boat out in a year or two or don't. Chelsea pushed the boat out. Even Spurs spent better than United, not necessarily more.

De Gea, Shaw and Pogba in today's starting line-up. That should be a sackable offence, in light of recent performances and lack of a public response by the player to his agent's comments. How many goals will we now need to score to beat City?

No but I’m asking you if you legitimately believe we had the funds to spend 180 million during a period of dramatically decreased revenues?

We are playing Pogba, a prat who stands by while his agent disrespects the club. You can’t compete with mercenaries like him in the fold.

At any other club that's a very good record. Given how many chances he gets at City it's not that amazing tbh.

He could very well get 1 or 2 today though if we defend like we did last few games.

Pattern of play for the game:

City to dominate early possession and create a plethora of chances, hit the post.

G Neville to claim city have been "Absolutely brilliant"

City will score a deserved goal, 1-0 up.

United make a slight improvement, but city get them on the counter. 2-0 at HT.

United play better 2nd half, but it's still quite even.

United eventually get 1 back in the 70th minute. Game on??

Nope, sucker punch 5mins later as city score a 3rd and kill the game.

    Final score 1-3
