To be expected really given the time of year/number of games both are/have been involved in.

Fine with that.

I'm better than Messi (even though I'm not)
If Ole weren’t one of our own he’d be getting torn to shreds mercilessly. Not good enough, not ambitious enough. A new man still has a lot to play for this season, with the current setup we’ll fade into 6/7th place.

Cowardly performance and cowardly game management.

He set the team out not to lose. Nothing else.
Completely agree with this.

Even putting aside the fact that it's a derby, we should be looking to win every game. In this case, it's doubly disappointing. Didn't look like we want to win this game and both sides looked so, so comfortable with a 0-0 draw. Such a disappointing game.

Actually played well and in my opinion look a better team than City, but we need more from attackers. Imagine somebody like kane up top today.

Forgetting our CL disaster were in decent form and West ham away, Southampton away and City home, this season, are tough games. 7 points a good return, now need to follow it up by beating Sheffield United and Leeds.

Thought we were 10 points clear at the top. What a poor poor game. No urgency to get 3 points at all. This we need 5 subs as the players are tired after 2 games in a week is obviously a load of bollocks. VDB and Henderson for that matter might as well move on.

Expected City to win today, so happy with that. Keeping a clean sheet against them is to never be sniffed at and their style currently is to keep things tight, resulting in them having six clean sheets in a row.

Difficult to judge how to value that point. One one hand, we’ve won our last four in the league and it continues our good form. On the other, that’s now only one win in our six home league games – not a bad season to be denied your season ticket.

Ultimately, the Sheffield Utd and Leeds games will determine how we interpret this one. Two wins and it will feel like a good point, especially as at least one of Liverpool and Spurs have to drop points. Slip up against the Yorkshire teams and it will feel like our wheels keep on spinning.

Felt like neither team wanted to win. Such a drab and boring game. More frustrated that we didn’t try to go for it when City where there for the taking.

...and yet some people think we are making progress as a team. A mid table team to reflect the poor coaching given. Cause and effects folks! Forever aspiring to compete for the 4th place trophy.

Same crowd that expected us to get hammered will now moan the game was boring.

Played well. Can’t blame Ole for setting us up like that and the players not having that killer instinct in the final third.

Does Pep acknowledge Carrick for our defensive strength and discipline in games like this?
Can we never play 3-5-2 with two defensive midfielders again?
Would this team have beat or drawn with RB Leipzig?

If Fernandes had been himself today it’s a different game. Very sloppy and surprised although not surprised he wasn’t subbed for DVB.

I've seen worse performances. Kind of hurts seeing all those players that were shambles mid-week suddenly able to play football.

Rashford must be carrying an injury, his lack of pressing or any sort of running isn’t good enough if not.

Least our defence turned up for this one, thought Maguire was MoM.

Take the draw and move on, win the game in hand and we’re probably 4 behind Liverpool/Spurs who play each other next week.

Good result. Poor performance again, but from both sides this time.

Good shape and defensive performance but not a lot really happening attacking wise. I can praise Ole for the organisation and say it was Jose-esque...that's a compliment or an insult depending on your perspective :D

Centre backs were good but a bit of a mixed bag when it came to passing out from the back. Luke Shaw MotM for me.

City won't win the league. Some good passing and a better defensive shape but a shadow of their former attack.

Boring game. We were happy with not losing - Would have liked to see more hunger at the end.

On the contrary, I think we avoid a misstep. This might be a valuable pt.

Jesus that was terrible from both teams.

Not a bad result for either team though.

It is like they both decided before the match to just play for a draw.

That was a nice little pre-season friendly, no injuries for either side, 90 minutes in the legs for a lot of players getting everyone nice and ready for some competitive football in mid-week. The most entertaining part was Carrick and Guardiola chatting on the way off, probably discussing how much better they were than the 2 sets of midfielders today.

Our results at home against the "top 6" this season:

United 1-6 Spurs
United 0-1 Arsenal
United 0-0 Chelsea
United 0-0 City

It really isn't good enough.
Since when is Arsenal top 6?

Awful from both managers. Either side could’ve gone for that in the last ten. Players seemed to be playing at half pace for both sides. A very, very odd match.

We were solid and pressed well first half and I suppose it steadies the ship.

Need a world class striker that put away half chance. Hardly can rely on Rushford to win a game. Can be brilliant in one game and suck in another. When can we see some consistency front Martial and Rushford.

The Cafe's gutted we didn't get thumped so having to create an alternate reality where we were hanging on for dear life. Hoping nobody either watched the game or can see the stats on the right hand side.

We could have gotten 3 points if Martial weren't so fecking deflated, or if Cavani could play. I think we did very well all game, but needed extra spark in the end, to bring it home and there was no sub to give us that. Disappointed that VdB isn't a game-changer, yet. Not surprised that Ole didn't bring him in, given Pogba and Bruno were very good all game.

VdB could have hit the ground running, like Bruno did when he joined, but clearly not the case. Hopefully he can deliver soon. VdB's Ajax pedigree is no joke, so he has to come through for us, sooner or later.

City were absolutely there for the taking today.

Much like the league title is there for the taking this season.

But it won't be by a team managed by Ole.

Only talking point in that match was the disallowed penalty. A simliar incident probably wouldn't be disallowed in the Champions league.

0-0 a fair result two goalkeepers underworked with just 4 saves between them.

United needed a draw/clean sheet against PSG, RB Leipzig just typical they got both today.
