A lot are mentioning a DM. We play with two deep lying pivots with Bruno advanced.

I think Ole prefers Players for the deep lying pivot roles to be all rounders with good mobility and ball recycling as well as the transition from defence to attack.

I don't think we l see a defensive midfield specialist while Ole is in charge, but players like Fred and Caicedo who have many strings to there bows.

One thing I've noticed when we struggle, it's always when our deep lying pivots are very sluggish in their off the ball movement to recieve the ball from our defence, as well as a really slow transition from defence to attack.

I think Fred improves this as he plays at a fast pace is very mobile and passes quickly.
I think Mctominay struggles at times but can on his day put a performance in, has been inconsistent this season.
Pogbas upped it recently look,s like he's playing with a lot more intensity and has improved his movement and quickness of passing.
Matic really struggles with what Ole wants Imo his mobility and off ball movement arnt good enough.

Caicedo looks to tick a lot of boxs

What's Garner like anybody offer an opinion on his off the ball movement for making himself an option for his defenders , I've heard his passing is pretty quick and accurate.

Garner has yet to find his identity at Watford. Now they’ve sacked Ivic who knows? The ability is there but I feel he needs a loan in a PL club or top Championship team. Fingers crossed

Not checked any of this but believe you have missed the Copa Sudamericana which he played in and Independiente won - equivalent of Europa League in South America.
If I recall correctly he hasn’t actually played in any Sudamericana games, his breakthrough came after that. So I don’t believe those points can be used for the work permit but may be mistaken.

I had to go back and see what @Adnan had said to lead to such a lengthy, patronising, schoolteacher-like reply.

Couldn't you have just said "I get the calculation to be xxxxxx"?
That was classic Limerick. He’s always been like this. Not sure where the constant aggression comes from but I wish him the best!

Rumours that Chelsea are trying to hijack this deal!

Has this been a confirmed signing yet?

Rumours but no substance. The Mail started this last night but it hadn’t gathered pace. Lots of reports about Caicedo varying between’done deal’ and ‘ things to sorted out,’ but all seem to be fairly certain that he’s Utd’s

Apparently, it is almost done.

Would not worry about Chelsea, seems we have already got an agreement with the club and the player, seem to be waiting for the work permit to get sorted now, which should not be a problem.

Check Twitter and search Caicedo. Loads about Utd but nothing on the Chelsea page either. I think it’s a bit of mischief making personally

Is it only me who gets carried away when watching 5 minute compilation videos?

Very excited by this signing.
Oh absolutely mate! I immediately know they are the best player in the world in their position.

I still remember watching Anderson in YouTube compilations and expected him to be our new Ronaldinho. Turned out nothing like him

The work permit works on a point based system, think its 15 points and you're in.

Good think Arsenal don't need a work permit

You come across as very angry in your posts often which I find amusing but you should try and relax a little if you don't mind me saying which might possibly enhance the level of discourse/disscussion.

He doesn't claim to be a expert on anything, it's a label that is given to him by others. Whether he's right or wrong isn't something i'm gonna argue with you over because I simply couldn't care less. But thanks for giving your two cents on the subject.
I’m a very happy person thanks.

You come across as a self proclaimed expert who claims random nobodies on Twitter are also experts yet you’re consistently wrong which I find highly amusing.

I couldn’t care less about anything you say, but hey thanks for being wrong yet again. Is very amusing.

Merry Christmas!

That was over a year ago so it doesn’t count. They played in Copa Libertadores this year, so he gets his points from it.

Even if it was this year, you can’t take points from both competitions as it is from the same table. You take whichever is higher, which is the Copa Libertadores as they band 1 gives a lot more for playing time.

This is classic “self proclaimed expert is caught spouting shite yet again” and claims other people are angry.

I’m very happy, back home with my family and enjoying Christmas.

I wish all the self proclaimed “experts” the best as well and a Merry Christmas to you all!

If he really wants points he should just take a leaf out of Grealish's book

Yes it is, I’ve said all along he’ll easily get a work permit. I was merely pointing out that a proclaimed “expert” saying he gets 25+ points is nonsense and he should be ignored.
Understood. This is fair enough

My wit's end
Limerickcitykid is a very angry person who uses anonymity on the internet to take out his own frustrations/inadequacies on others. I feel sorry for him, but hopefully he can get the help he needs. It's nice to see he's able to wish others a merry Christmas. It's passive agressive and insincere, but at least it's a start.

You are absolutely horrible. How dare you. I have all that in 5 games, which is about 2 weeks.

In a hypothetical scenario where he comes and is a starter faster than expected, I would still want us to get a DM in the mould of Zakaria/Kalvin Phillips to play alongside him.
I think it would be unwise to rule VDB out of the picture for next season. He'll for sure be aiming for a first XI spot in central mid from next season once he gets up to speed with the PL.

With him and Diallo, we will have 2 future Ballon D'ors players in our hands!
