I'm honestly worried that Trump is going to do something like order a nuclear strike on Iran in the next 13 days. He is certifiability nuts.

Incredible restraint by the forces to such a blatant act. If this was the BLM crowd, I wonder what would have happened.

For a first world country, the reaction to the election results has been downright nonsensical. This long gap between election results and transfer of power needs rethinking.
First world country? Its far from it.

Stop pretending all these people are stupid. Some people are just racist, fascist and don't give a shit about anything else.

Even if we assume she was mislead by trump then too i have no sympathy for her, she's not living in fecking north korea where she doesn't have access to the truth. That level of stupid is as dangerous as fascists themselves.
I've no wish to derail this thread or spend anytime arguing f uckery with you.

The whole thing is too stupid for the amount of time spent on it, death to my mind is sad, whoever it is doing the dying because it is senseless and all motivated by one piece of shit, now go and find someone else to build an argument with, you are clearly looking for one.

Feeling sorry for them is not exactly the right term, but I do think it's a sad state of affairs. I'm sure some of them are otherwise peaceful citizens who are misguided and truly believe they're on the right side. They might be decent people, a husband, wife, father, mother or whatever, even among those who broke into the capitol. Being misguided isn't an excuse, they should be prosecuted, but I do think the celebrations or "got what she deserved" posts about a person dying are a bit vulgar. I just think it's tragic to be honest.
Yes let them do whatever they're doing. A few years down the line you'll put to death for dissenting against their rule. Nip the fascists in the bud now or let millions die from both sides in the future. Im sure in the 30's people thought hitler and his merry gang giving speeches in beer halls were also just misguided.

There’s nothing tragic about it.

Motorcyclist swerves in & out of traffic on a highway with no helmet, dies when a car inadvertently hits him doing such. Motorcyclist is at fault. Not a tragedy.

Person smokes a pack of cigarettes a day for 30 years & dies of lung cancer. Person is at fault. Not a tragedy.

Person drinks a fifth of liquor every day for years & dies of cirrhosis. Person is at fault. Not a tragedy.

Rioter storms a federal building with virtually all the upper echelon of national government inside. Person is killed by the police charged with protecting the politicians. Person is at fault. Not a tragedy.

Every person in these statements should have made better decisions. The fault lies with each of them. There’s nothing tragic about this. Stop giving them cover. They themselves caused it.

Christ, that's exactly what I said. I'm not going to argue with any conviction in here, there's clearly no place for nuance. Sorry about that.

Is 25th amendment seriously being considered? Or is it just caf talk?
Of course it is, not to minimise the symbolic importance of what happened today but the best way to get politicians to do something is to scare the shit out of them. For all the shit he’s done to your average joe, today is the first day a lot of them probably realised what he could do to them.

He's been a bad boy today. Will he learn his lesson this time? Susan Collins?

It's not tragic though. She attacked the house of congress and deserved it. No one else was shot in the neck even when they menacingly chased Capitol police around the building or raided the speakers office. She obviously did something really fecked up. Her death could be worse though, she could of been lynched in a texas jail with a trash bag for not signaling during a lane change. feck her and the rest of the pieces of shit that fell for a con man's garbage.

Remember when the militias took over the Michigan State House a few months ago? Remember when not a shot was fired, not a tear gas shell used, nothing? Remember how there were no repercussions for any of those “protestors”?

That is how you get to today, keep ignoring and humanizing the fascist terrorists.

What a dark fecking day in our country's history - and we've had a lot of them. Embarrassing.
