One thing I've learned repeatedly by being around my mom's job and something that Bernie Sanders tweeted yesterday is the act of establishing precedence. So much of legality is established around prior precedence and this is a rare and invaluable occasion to establish one for the consequences of abusing the highest government office.
This blocking now feeds their views that this is a purge and a block on free speech.
