I must have watched a different game. People saying it was Mourinhoesque and they're happy with the draw. We absolutely battered them in the second half and should've won. 2 points dropped for me, eventhough I would've taken a point beforethe game.

Almost stole it, but the real work was totally nullifying their threat in the first half.

The two best chances were poor shots, right at the keeper.

Rashy's mad decision to run across the pitch instead of playing one of Europe's best finishers was the one that really felt frustrating.
It just reminded me of Lukaku dribbling it out for a throw in. He really has been awful for a while now.

Today proved we are good but not great. We had the better chances, but are so wasteful and make stupid decisions in final 3rd. Door wide open for City to walk this league.

Defensively great and a point isn't too bad at all. I'm disappointed how terrible we were on the ball all evening; we've seen every single player do better than that in big games against tough opposition so to be mishitting passes and choosing the wrong option time after time was infuriating.

Shaw was head and shoulders the MotM given how great he was defensively and decent offensively in the second half. Maguire, Lindelof also superb without the ball and Wan Bissaka was very good barring the odd positional lapse. The result is fine but again a worry just how bad we looked in possession, the front players were nowhere near good enough and need to smarten up quick.

There are definitely positives to take from this performance despite feeling that we could’ve really won the game. Defense were excellent. Victor and Luke magnificent. McT just not got the juice to be a CM IMO.

good point and decent performance second half.

Positives:
Lindelof did well
Shaw and AWB did very well
Pogba looking in form and my motm

Negatives:
Rashford and Bruno were terrible
First half was really poor

Morinho Masterclaas sorry Ole masterclass...but so happy with not losing
Understand why Lindelof start over Eric if we were going to play so deep

Drawing at Anfield would have been seen as a good result under Fergie’s best teams, so no complaints about the result. We also had two massive chances while they had none. Finally, to top off a lot of encouraging signs tonight, Ole looked genuinely gutted that we didn’t win it. Generally good stuff.

Every time we retained possession we made a decent opening or a genuine chance. Our counter attacks did nothing.

I've always said it and I'll say it again. The Manchester Derbies are always better than the North West Derbies. Still I'll take the point today and move on.

Funny how we all complained that we weren't challenging for the title less than 2months ago and now we are in such a good position to challenge and people are STILL complaining!

If you'd had asked ANY of us here if we'd take top in January and take a point at Anfield, you'd bite their hand off every day of the week

Come on guys, it's a point at Anfield and we're top of the league, what is there to complain about?

Yes we most likely should have won, but that's Football. If we'd had lost the game you'd be even more upset! Don't even know why you're upset with a draw anyway. Take the point and move on to the next game.

Good result and approach from United IMO. It can be a bit tough for Bruno in these sorts of games because he's inherently a risky player and that's what makes him great, plus Liverpool are smart enough to focus on marking him. Someone else needed to step up creatively - Pogba had a couple moments but overall was disappointing for me.
We need Jack Grealish. We need an X factor who has the ball on a string. I want him so badly, I’d love him and juicy calves here.

A lot of fingers being pointed at Bruno who had a big chance, but Rashford is the biggest culprit tonight.

Had a simple through ball to play to Cavani and chose to carry on himself, which came to nothing. Overall poor performance from him where he was constantly offside. Should have been subbed off for Greenwood.

Shaw utter quality today. Eyes in the back of his head for the perfect touch at the right time to turn out of trouble.

Some people might say that we were passive and gave Liverpool too much of the ball, but we played to our strengths and it was a perfect example of players being unable to execute a gameplan to perfection.
Alisson and Fabinho earned them a point, Bruno, Rashford and Pogba lost us two. Lindelof and Shaw were standouts for me.

Still on top, that's all that matters for now.

Could've easily won that but will definitely take the point to maintain the gap. It's our forward players that were the sloppy ones. Shaw was MOTM he is a very good defender and Wan-Bissaka was comfortable the other side against Mane.

Still top of the league.

Yeah you'd take a draw and it's encouraging how well we played defensively, especially Shaw who was great. But how the game played out you can't help but feel annoyed/frustrated at our incoherent attack and how bad Rashford was. We should have won that.

Rashford does this tunnel vision thing all the time. Look up and see your options. It worked against Wolves but it burnt us
I really hope this is something that will eventually improve because his decision-making is atrocious right now. That particular counter-attack still rankles.

I'd take a point. Frustrated with the selection though, really really annoying to see that.

Good result. Don't think they worried us too much. Then from 70mins onwards I could only see a goal coming from us. Fabinho MOTM unfortunately.

They've lost the spark.

I was thinking the same thing. I think he got excited seeing 1 v 1 with Fabinho. Should have passed it off though and then made a run to get it back (which may or may not have happened)...

This. I can't believe the negativity by most. I'm absolutely delighted with the way we played.

Good point, I dont understand why Ole wants to team pass out from the back. I had a heart attack every time the ball right back with Liverpool in position to score. Pogba has a size advantage why wouldn't you kick the ball to the right wing and exploit the mismatch. Rushford has been disappointing so is Bruno. Fred and McTominay are what they are, they have reached their ceiling so I really hope we hope from better midfielders. Shaw was fantastic.

Played for one point and got it so a good result. We ended up having the better chances too and Bruno should have scored that! Passing was embarrassing at times and our counter attack was frustrating given they had make shift CB.

Defence was great, forwards needed to be less wasteful especially first half

I'd have taken a point before the game but really wanted to end their unbeaten run and go 6 clear of them

Lack of spark from the forwards a little concerning

If we can start getting both ends putting in a good performance at the same time is the next step.

I'd be tempted to rest Bruno vs Fulham, however they've hit a little run of form so we can't completely underestimate them but he's looking weary

Their defence was depleted, but I think they are having serious problems up front.
Ah, can we give it a rest with this?

Plenty of teams have played MF at CB and won trophies over the years. Barcelona, City, Arsenal, even United.

Midfielders play midfield because they're good enough to create chances and are quick on the ball, defenders play defence because they can't do that, but any midfielder worth their salt can play defence. Why do you think most defenders started their careers as strikers and end up getting pushed back? You never hear of a striker that couldn't play defence so he ended up being a striker, do you?

Not the same boat as our other games against the big teams.

That was almost the perfect away tactical display.
It’s a different level sure but we are nullifying our best players instead of playing to their strengths.

Good game, edge of the seat stuff. We were close to get a result here, good saves by Alisson. Can't really complain, players really put a shift in. Difficult game, Fernandes was mega pissed off to be subbed off in the end, but that just shows how competitive he is.

It is going to be a really tough battle who wins PL this year, I see us, City, Liverpool, Leicester and maybe even Spurs to battle it out.

Good point but felt we had the better clear cut chances to win. All Pogba has to do is hit left, right, above or below Alisson and its a goal.

Still though. Not a bad performance.
