Can't believe people were writing these feckers off.
My £100 at 8-1 was a steal last week.
Yep. Only absolute lunatics were saying they were done just because they had a few games off form.

This is worrying now, as they've cruised 6 points in two games they could easily have slipped in.

Just when you couldn't dislike Moyes more they do this.

Commentators saying Moyes said in his pre match interview they won't be this close to Liverpool end of the season. Classic Moyes, probably aspiring to be them too

very rare we take advantage of it though, Shaqiri picked out his run if it was either of ours they’d try do a pointless step over or something and lose the ball.
Like that Rashford pass last week you mean? Or the instant pass by Greenwood?
I’d you want to come on here and act like a bell end, at least get your facts straight

No offense to anyone and I don't mean to downplay us but just being realistic for a moment how can we be in any title race with these issues?

1. Lack of a dependable goalscorer /striker.
2. Our defense.
3. Our complete lack of RW.

Give up, Pep couldn’t do what Klopp does on this budget.
Pep has won far more trophies and despite that goal Pool just scored, plays football that is far easier on the eye in terms of the manic pressing and rapid passing too. All this outweighs the budget factor imo.
We have scored better counters than this one fairly regularly under Ole to be honest.
I can only think of Bruno against Brighton to be honest. That goal was like a poor man’s Ronaldo against Arsenal.

We're like Liverpool of the 90's where we'd get all delusional and giddy that United and Arsenal have dropped points only to shoot ourselves in the foot one fixture at a time after talking big.

Liverpool's bad patch lasted about 3 games. Probably win 15 in a row, now.
You play them soonish don't you?

That will at least see them having to field 7th and 8th choice players afterwards instead of just 5th and 6th

The lack of a good manager doesn't help, either.

Yeah tbf that was a great goal. You almost scored a really good counter attacking goal in the 2008 final I think?
We blew an unbelievable amount of chances in that final. Loads of counter-attacks and general good play. Even Giggsy somehow got under an open goal from 8 yards out.

Liverpool's game against City at Anfield next week is huge, a genuine title decider. If they lose that the gap becomes 10 points and the league is done.

Which just goes to show how much we've over achieved already.
We've put ourselves in a good position for top three which was probably the aim this season. A domestic trophy and a title challenge would be a very good season.

How abt our first goal against Liverpool in the fa cup? Or our 2nd goal against them in the same game? Or our 3rd goal against Wham? Or the ?4th? goal from Bruno's first time pass to Rashford vs Leipzig in our home game?

Yeah brilliant mate. Just what we needed was our most hated rivals competing with our other rivals.
What about the bigger picture? Liverpool face City next weekend. I think it’s better for them to have skin in the game to haul the leaders in which also benefits us. Christ, Liverpool are the reigning champions - it was inevitable they would string a few wins together at some stage

Love the chat that we're actually terrible at counter attacks when those same melts are probably the ones who say we're only a counter attacking team? Textbook moaning mugs.

Guess its time to start hoping City dont drop any points to keep those cnuts at bay.
Why even bother watching the rest of the season if you are going to be so defeatist. We are ahead of Liverpool and have had comparable form over the past year. We are in it if they are.

Which is why I'm not disappointed by where we are.

We are in one because we are in one....for now.

Whether we will be still in one in 10 weeks times is a different story though. If we keep playing the way we are right now we won't be.

A draw is the only good result there, really.
