Even if CHO wanted a move to Bayern (why sign a long contract extension if he did?), that's not really CHO "looking for a way out". I'd bet most players would give it some thought if a club the size of Bayern came sniffing around.
He gave it quite a lot of thought, though, and repeatedly. And I've also explained the reason for the contract extension in an earlier post, remember? I'd like to stick to the narrative that pleases me most, now, if that's ok.
In all honesty though, I'm simply a bit annoyed, as both CHO and Havertz are long term targets of my club and I had the tiny hope that we could pick them up relatively cheaply on a rebound after they'd have flopped/failed to get game time, which the sacking of Lampard and the appointment of Tuchel now has made even more improbable.
Well, there's still a good chance that Havertz flops since the club did so ridiculously stack up on these kind of half spaced attacking positions and the competition there with Ziyech, Mount, Pulisic, and Werner is considerable, and also because his somewhat Özil-esque body language and style of play, combined with the transfer fee, make him a target of public scape-goating in England. But Hudson-Odoi sadly will only kick on from here under Tuchel, fantastic player.
