Sancho would be a huge mistake.

Another overrated, overhyped English player that just gets big praise because of his nationality. We need to invest heavily into defence - get rid of players like Pogba, Martial. Bring in proper CB, a backup or potential starter at RB, CDM and striker (haaland)
No I like Sancho, lovely player to watch but he's not an addressing need that needs to be fixed. We aren't going anywhere with this defence

It's true like the saying goes " Attacks win you matches, Defences win you leagues"

Our defensive unit will forever keep us a "top 4" contending team only. Everton didn't play well and grabbed 3. Sheffield grabbed 2. Must be hard for the attackers knowing they can't trust us not to concede
Exactly right. Everton were gash until De Gea gave them hope. You just could see them scoring again once they got the first. We are soft defensively. Conceding from a long free into the box in the last minute?
Nó way should we be doing that.Maguire is hugely overrated.

Why have people forgotten about Romero? Why is he not getting a mention? Is it out of question that he gets to play? I think he’s our best GK lowkey.

DDG has cost us God knows how many points over the last couple of years, precious points that we can ill-afford to lose. He needs replacing asap.
It is because of his contract, he will get better with a better contract. Double his salarie, everything will be all right. :wenger:

Conceding three today in that game was criminal. I still can't believe it happened.
The saddest part is this was arguably our best performance of the season against a top 6 side. We utterly dominated the game from start to finish.

It's unfathomable that the game ended 3-3.

We’re not as calamitous at the back as they were and not as good going forward as they were.
Evertons 3rd and Sheff Utds 2nd would argue differently!

I suppose they're isolated incidents... But still, two of the worst goals I've seen us concede in the league in a long time...and then there's the Istanbul one too!

Well considering our star striker Martial has 4, (2 of them after winning 5-0) and our next best youth prospect right winger has 1. I'd say its a decent return from cm. Add Mctominay and Bruno, those 3 midfielders have outscored all of our attackers.
We have tons of players with 2-3 goals so bit rich to say we are relying on pogba is all

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

Spurs’ first beats all of them for me I think. Maguire actually takes shaw out if I remember correctly. We’re a ridiculously soft side.

People keep blaming De Gea but the two centre-backs are fecking shit...you could have prime Buffon in goals and they would make him look shit too.

feck buying Sancho this summer, I'd rather the club invested in two CB's instead. The attack is fine for now with Greenwood playing well on the right again
Two things can be true though. The centre backs are shit, but so is De Gea. He's the reason why they got back into the game in the first place. Also didn't' cover himself in glory for the goal at the end.

That would put him on roughly £600k a week?

His teammate's reaction to that salary increase would be comical, them rioting outside Woody's office even more so.

The amount of last minute goals we’ve conceded since Fergie is gutting. We didn’t even get chance to take into a corner once. We shat ourselves. If we’d just passed it out from the back a couple of times we would’ve wasted more time but we resorted to lumping it. Need to be more intelligent and calm in the closing stages.

So disappointed tonight. At HT it really felt like a second consecutive match where I could relax and enjoy the rest of the match...then the fecking Chuckle Triplets feck us.

Sheffield second was out of this world, never seen something like that, we were just petrified.

We were by far the better side from start to finish, I cannot belive they scored three goals. They barely warranted one goal.

I genuinely thought we could win the title. Reality check for me.
Take out the absolute rookie blunders and adjust the points then we'll be top the league. This comical defending has cost us the CL knockout stages, PL and i won't be surprised if it costs us the FA Cup too.

I was just thinking the other day it’s been a while since we blew a 2 goal lead and a while since we conceded in the last minute. Both have happened to Everton over the years.

Unfortunately we cannot take it out and its the reality that will cost us on all fronts.

2 points dropped. Feck off!
De Gea should be made back up keeper for that shite. Easily all 3 goals he could have done better.
Absolutely GUTTED!!
So could Maguire. A lot of players can be blamed after this draw, both defenders and attacker

So annoying. Our attack were fantastic. Still Rashford needs to stop taking 60 million touches in the box - Martial has the same problem. It's almost as if they're being coached to force opposition defenders into giving away penalties. If only Shaw could've buried that chance before the De Gea and Maguire howlers.....

Congrats City, can't see you guys dropping points like that.

We were playing so well. Looked like a proper team out there, Scott was having a good game.

But I can't focus on any of that because of the fecker that is de Gea. He can't defend set pieces, he's poor in the air but we keep him because he's a shotstopper. But he can't do that anymore so what good is he for?? The one thing he's supposed to be good at he can no longer do. They can all collectively feck off that defense. Most especially david

Had to miss the game today but looks like it was a partial blessing in disguise for my sanity. Partial because asked my mates to give me updates on the game and it was fecking infuriating to read points dropped as a result of mistakes. Everton playing us off the park or United not turning up - fine, can take it. But to lose points like this?!

Sick of Maguire and DDG not taking charge. DDG has won titles FFS, how the feck is he not commanding this team? He's not even commanding his own box FFS! How many points has he cost us alone? All the points that he earned us few seasons ago have been wiped off the slate.

Some of the players need to get their heads a wobble. Maguire FFS club captain of Manchester fecking United playing on Feb 6th - do you know what it means?! Come on man!

Having said that - the first two goals alone deserved 3 points. Fernandes is class!

Sheffield second was out of this world, never seen something like that, we were just petrified.
Agreed, it was the worst goal I have ever seen United concede. City's 3rd in the 4-3 win comes to mind but Sheffield's was the worst. Amazing to see professional footballers doing that.

How many chances did Rashford miss today? and how many times did he loose the ball ?
ok I know he had assist to Cavani on 1- 0 but he should have been taken off in the 70min.

I’m actually not buying the we played well narrative. I think first half Everton were crap and didn’t play to their strengths which would highlight our weakness. At half time Carlo said what he said and they came out very clinical with their penetration into our box and our turtle pace CB got exposed.

We didn’t play badly. But it was so obvious that we were getting exposed for pace down the middle and in reality we ourselves were not creating too many great chances.

That said where on earth did the ref get 4 minutes from? Did he add them from what should have been given in the match vs Southampton.

I am absolutely furious with this result. We will never challenge with half of these players. Fred, Maguire, Lindelof should all be tossed to the lions. The difference in class when you compare Bruno and Cavani to the rest of the team is drastic. They are winners, leaders. Then you look at DDG who is spineless albeit good shot stopper but my god man up.

No need for that. You can drop loads of points for top 4.

But you never know, a run of wins could have seen us catch City when they drop points.

Never mind.
Problem is with Europa starting, we are bound to miss some points. Pogba is already injured and it just could pile up. We were never in title race this year and so, I am least bothered. Just hope we keep a reasonable point gap at second.

Watching the TV or is it watching me
People having a go at the attackers we scored 3 goals at home that should easily be enough to close out the game, defending but mainly the goalkeeper has cost us that game that 1st goal is absolutely criminal and the last goal he was a fecking pansy on you have to come for it all, having said that why was Maguire so bloody deep when the line was beyond is also unforgivable but if the keeper did his job we close that game out no problem

Also Rashford needs to improve his awareness and decision making. Too often he shoots when there’s a simple square pass or he takes an extra touch/dribble that kills a move.

Thats actually a good thing. We can rest players, whereas City will be playing their strongest 11 in the CL and usually that’s when they drop points in the league.

We aren't going to rest against RS. If we rest players, we won't go through.

I think I said it in an earlier thread. If Rashford gets his decision making right, he could be world class. Just think how many Citeh goals are a pass/cut back across the box and a tap in. Imagine those players were taking alternative options. The coaches need to get on Rashford's case big time.
