Still sickened with this one. To concede 3 cheap goals like that is criminal.
Obviously DDG is at fault for the first. For the second, Lindelof and Maguire go for the same ball, and if Lindelof just left it then Maguire surely heads that out to touch? Granted, you don't want to take that chance.
The third goal, for god sake why was DDG punting it out for Cavani to try and win a 50-50? Just bloody kick it out for a throw deep in the Everton half, and pin them in. From there, it's just a comedy of errors that leads to the equaliser.
We've conceded some really bad goals in the last couple of months, and it's undone some really good performances. Ironically, in the first half of the season we were getting the lucky and scraping games with really bad performances.
It just shows that we're not the complete package yet, but the manner of some of the goals we're conceding is worrying. Bailly has shown us how having pace and strength beside Maguire transforms that back 4. Unfortunately, that guy is made of glass so we need a dominant CB urgently.
Game management needs improving also. Still, I think this season all teams are struggling at home. Teams that usually get that 10% boost from the crowd are lacking big time, and for a lot of teams they have much better away records. Still no excuse for tonight and vs SHU, but all the same it's easy to forget the players are human also and it must be a difficult time for them also, and the huge demands of the schedule this season. Might explain some of the strange results we have seen this season.
