No VAR in FA cup...

Nice pass from Billy Gilmour to play Abraham on.

Depends what Leicester do...think our reserves can beat theirs easily; think outlr forst team can beat rheir first team but not as easy. We should be favourites.

There is if it is at a PL ground. They had it at Wolves earlier.
Ah okay, I suspected it only kicks in in the higher stages.

But isn't the VAR just a guy sat in a van outside the stadium? Or what is the problem with lower league stadiums?

I don't know about the F.A. Cup, the PL they are based at Stockley Park.

Ole has probably had the worst luck for draws that I've ever seen.
It's actually getting ludicrous now.

FA Cup draws since he took over

Arsenal Away
Chelsea Away
Wolves Away
Wolves Away
Tranmere Away
Derby Away
Norwich Away
Chelsea Wembley
Watford Home
Liverpool Home
West Ham Home
Leicester Away

CL he's drawn Barcelona then a group with PSG, last years finalists, and Leipzig, last years semi finalists. Even drawing Real Sociedad in the Europa League is unlucky when you see some of the shite we could have drawn.

He's cursed.

Cheers. Never payed much attention to the details.

Bit of a retro feel to the penalty incident. Despite some faults in implementation, VAR really is an improvement.

Wow! Didn't realise it was that bad, not always the side we are playing, but the fact he gets so many away games.

Leicester will be a tough game in the quarter finals, was hoping we’d get one of the easier draws after having to get past Liverpool then West Ham. I think we will win baring any significant injuries leading to the game. Fate will decree that we keep reaching semi finals.
Personally I would consider it a middle level draw as think City, Chelsea or Everton would have been tougher but had hoped we could get Bournemouth, Sheff Utd or Saints. Having said that I don't expect it to be the Leicester team that plays the majority of league games and feel our second XI players are stronger.

Barnsley are up for this
Yeah brings back memories of that midweek FA Cup Fifth Round replay in 1998 when they beat us 3-2 thanks to two goals from Scott Jones who I imagine has gone down in folklore like Odejayi did ten years later

We did get Watford at home in round 3 in fairness.

But yes, it's been a while since we got non leaguers for example.
Although didn't we draw 0-0 to them under Van Gaal?
I meant towards latter half of the competition. Round 3 has what 64(?) teams, so probability of getting an easier draw is quite high.

Bloody hell. How does the League Cup look in comparison? I know we got City a couple of times.

Who, Leicester?
1-1 in their title winning season both times. Bastian scored at theirs, Martial at home
No, the non leaguers. Crawley or someone like that? We drew 0-0, or scraped through 1-0. Maybe it was Exeter we drew 0-0 with.

It depends if we’re still in the Europa League. The round of 16 is scheduled for the 18th March.

The FA Cup game is scheduled for the 20th March. I can see our game getting shifted to the Sunday as you’d like to think we’ll both be in the round of 16.

Currently out next league match isn’t until the 3rd April (14 days) So in theory, I’d like to think we’ll put out a fairly strong team.

Daryl Dike of Orlando City SC has just come on. Keep and eye on him. He's a big and strong yet skillful target man. He also has a good finish in him, though I'm not sure if he's consistent enough to score many goals in the Championship.

The pressing and high energy game Barnsley had in the 1st half has as expected faded badly 2nd half.
