There's no stats for foul drawing at this level are there? Those were the stats that really showed Grealish was about to break the feck out in his last years in the Champo.

Good to know. It was a bit worrying that he still visibly reacted to it and had to be subbed off a few minutes after the incident.

All the twitter reports just keep regurgitating that hes been added to first team training but no one has said if he is actually training or is hurt :houllier:

Can he play in Europe? Heard he wasn't registered - however, is the a B-team way around this at all?

Instead of taking over a team just link up with a smaller team within say 30k of where you are based. We give a bit of cash and some coaching and medical backup. A few friendlies, they have first refusal on players we release and we on players they sell and then we can send 2/3 of the top u23s down to them each season. It’s an absolute win win for both clubs.
Bury would be ideal.

Hannibal's brother Abdur-rahman Mejbri speaks to ActuFoot about his younger brothers rise through the ranks. There's also a few other interesting tid-bits like how even at a very young age it was said the Franco-Tunisian players decision making was like a adult player and how he's a big fan of Chess and turned PSG down for Monaco due to Monaco's record in developing youth.

Great to hear that he's been training with the first team. Would love to see both him and Diallo feature next year although everyone does seem to think Mejbri needs more time.

Not sure folks think this lad needs too much more time. If anything, it's the queue of players waiting in line in his position that could be an issue. For me though, he could quite soon be ready enough to be Bruno's backup. Such a shame that he's injured at the minute.

His strongest role in my opinion. I don’t think he’s best suited as a 10 personally - more of an 8.
He is all over the pitch most weeks but hes started to favour the left side recently. Really reminding me of Grealish with his play and constantly getting fouled

I'm convinced MEN wasn't always bullshit but this past few years fecking hell it has been a proper rag
They don't need to care anymore. As soon as it all became online and click-based you just have to encourage visitors. Back when it viewed itself predominantly as a newspaper it cared about some level of integrity with its stories.

I think he’s been specifically lined up on the left in recent games, hence spending more time there.

I just don’t think he’ll be a consistently decisive final third player to be in a front 3 for example. More the Pogba sort of role. Even Grealish I think is best suited to this role - he shouldn’t be in a front 3 for me.

Yeah I agree with that. He sometimes loves coming incredibly deep to get the ball. I hope he can develop into an 8 but his defensive qualities will lead coaches to pushing him further up pitch

So this was classic M.E.N bullshit? Can we just agree that they don't know anything and stop posting things they say?
Tbf to the MEN they didn't claim that after I checked. It was made up by one of the aggregator accounts and everyone else just copied. I will delete the tweet.

With the progress of several of our youngsters over the last few months, in addition to a few of our other biggest talents - Hannibal, Garner, Elanga, Laird, Shoretire, Diallo, Pellistri, Hugill to name some - realistically, 15-20 players from our current first-team squad could be gone in 18 months. I now assume 6-7 of the youngsters will be so good that they will be moved into the first-team squad. Shoretire, Diallo and Hannibal will be there - and I am convinced that from the start of the 22/23 season -at least 3-4 more players from our ranks will join them.

We have to assume we will sign a minimum of 4-5 key players over the next 2 summers - add to that: Shaw, AWB, Maguire, Rashford, Greenwood, Bruno, Fred, McTominay and Henderson should be safe (Pogba if he signs a new contract) - that in theory could mean that there could as little as 3-4 places available in the first-team squad for the remaining players we have today. Less if we sign more players.

So my guess is, in 18 months - only 3-4 of these are United-players if OGS is still in charge.

Tuanzebe, DDG, Lindelof, Telles, Bailly, James, Chong, Martial, Cavani, Mata, Andreas, v.d Beek, Matic, Lingard, Dalot, Williams, Jones, Romero, Rojo, Grant, Pereira

It's been shite ever since it got brought out by Trinity Mirror in 2010 who according to Wiki also own Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, The Sunday People, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, Daily Star Sunday as well as the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail and the magazine OK!...

I'm sure it won't be too long before he makes his debut for the first team, he's looking very good in the U23's. His ability on the ball is incredible for a young player.
I look forward to seeing him and Amad, and hopefully one or two more from the academy, getting their chance before the end of the season. It can only be beneficial for the club to get these youngsters involved in first team training, and matches.

I agree, hopefully we have top 4 sorted with a few games to spare then we can play some of them.
