Biggest surprise is seeing Martial start after the lacklustre display at the weekend. I’d have Amad on the right and Greenwood through the middle.

Im happy with a strongish team but we really need to effectively rotate today with the five subs. looking forward to hopefully amad getting decent amount of time.

People criticized med when I say Ole is too careful. Well, just look at that team. "We're Man United. We play youth."   three goalkeepers on the bench instead of two youth players, still won't start Amad, still won't start Williams, still plays Bruno and AWB. Joke of a starting eleven.

What a strange selection. Ok, he is the manager and he knows the best. No question about it. But with this selection (Bruno, AwB, even Lindelof) any excuse and crying in april how team is tired, is off.

He was quoted last week as saying that he would field a strong team as it was important to keep the momentum going. Bruno etc are unlikely to play the full match though.

Why is anyone surprised at this?
It’s good to act surprised so you can then have a good ol moan

Just wondering, if we chose to rest Bruno, who plays instead? And what formation?
People are quick to moan about it without offering any alternative.
If Bruno was rested, theyd be saying why isn't Bruno starting, tie isn't over, etc, etc. It's best to read their inane musings, mumble to yourself and continue on without engaging.

It's not really a matter of rest if he's fully fit - but it's a bit unnecessary to play him and take the remote risk of injury.

Incoming meltdown from people on here. It's a knockout stage against a good team from Spain. Yeah we hammered them in one game. Things can always go bad quickly though.

I would've rotated out Wan Bissaka and Bruno from Williams and Mata though, but other than that no real complaints. We have enough squad players who need games. Sucks for Fred and Matic as everyone else is injured. Surprised at no Tuanzebe, doesn't bode well for him.
    Incoming?

It's in full swing mate. Baton down the hatches

Like the 11, see if we can get a goal up, by end of 1st half, then put Amad on , Along with a few others. Just get this tie done and dusted by 45 mins. Dont concede a silly goal, as u all know another could come shortly after. I like the starting 11, a nice balance pity VDB is injured.

I sure as well won't. He run us into the ground in his first season in three months. He was going to do it last season (well, he actually be did, Rashford was out for the season) and now he'll do it all over again.

His game and general squad management is horrendous. He doesn't play youngsters and is even more cowardly than Mourinho.

People just want to live in delusion.
I’ll never understand the use of the word “coward” on this forum, used flippantly and incorrectly more than any other term here.

Yep, Can you imagine starting with all youngsters and losing two easy goals and then worse the match, it would destroy those youngsters. There’s a balance,m.
    All youngsters? Who said that?

It’s impressive how so many people in here have a better understanding of Bruno’s fitness than our management team. If he’s playing it’s because he’s fine to, I’d be more worried about the centre back pairing.
Agree, let's see how the CBs go , got to try havent we .

I know we don’t have players to rest Bruno but I still prefer Diallo to start, play 442 and we bring both Bruno & Rashford on if we need them. Either way, I still understand the decision to play Bruno is still a sensible one, hope we can take a lead before 55th mins so we can sub Bruno off to rest him.

Bunch of eejtijes is why. Will find any reason to complain.

I don’t understand why we don’t rest Bruno, start Amad and play Greenwood up front with Martial. Or even play any youngster who can play on the wing/no.10/up front.

4-0 up at home... if the worst happens, we collapse and concede 3 then bring on Bruno and Rashford as a contingency.

Ole needs a trophy. He knows the league is gone and isn’t risking a damn thing. Wouldn’t be beyond United to leave Bruno out and be 2-0 down ten minutes in.

This is a mad lineup. We play Chelsea in two days. They have a bigger squad, a better squad and two days extra rest. Are we gonna play Lindelof two days later against Chelsea with his back problems? Why not Tuanzebe who has great potential? Why not rest AWB for Williams or tuanzebe. Why not try Mata instead of Bruno? We’re 4-0 up yet he doesn’t trust his squad players. Must be totally demoralising. Destroy the fitness of your best players and destroy the confidence of your squad. Doesn’t seem smart to me. I wish journalists would ask these questions. Starting with what the hell has happened to Tuanzebe?

People complaining.. what would your XI be? Other than Williams starting.. or maybe shoehoring Amad from the start instead of Martial.. which was quite unlikely.
Anyone bar Bruno. We can lose this 3-0 and still progress. Why put him in such dead rubber ?

The Anti Maguire troops will get to see what life without him looks like.
I will bite and risk before kick off; it will look way better.

If things go to shit then i can always say that defence was bad because Shaw was missing

It's just ludicrously conservative from Ole.

Put Bruno on the bench and if Soceidad start tearing us to pieces and we're 2 goals down then bring him on.

Ole is a plank of wood, 4 away goals and he has to play Lindeloff, AWB, Rashford and Bruno. We have sufficient people on the bench to cover them positions to make sure we don't ship 4 or 5 goals with no return. Chelsea on Sunday, City after. Really annoyed at not resting Bruno the most. Ole thinks he is playing FM when players at 85% condition can play. Bruno is clearly tired and has been off form, runs the most and gives the most energy. Ridiculous decision to start him.

Gutless Manager who is scared to drop Bruno

Amad /Mata can start in place of Bruno

AWB and 3 Goal keepers on bench ?

He could have given Axel a chance
When you start with Gutless Manager everything else you say is irrelevant because it shows you are a petulant child. Amad is not close to being a number 10 so how does he replace Bruno exactly? You might as well suggest he should have played CB to give Lindelof a break.
