Why are we scared to chase the game for a winner ? Its almost as if ole and players think a draw is an acceptable result against the bottom & lower half of the league.

Even in the 92min maguire was pissing away at the halfway line and he's the captain ffs.

It starts from the manager , if you really wanted a win then you have to take risks and not just sit on a draw . Look at his subs

They don't care. Ole and his team are bottlers and they're coasting because all the other top 4 contenders are also shit. Atrocious mentality. Only ones that both used their brain and put the effort in were Shaw and James.

The mentality isn't there, looks like the players don't care out there knowing city are way ahead. We go on about second like it's the best improvement and this year has been a success but the reality is we can easily go down to fifth in a span of a few games if we don't watch it.

Never throw the kitchen sink at them any more. We're never gonna get that fear factor back when we're happy to take the draw.

Ole makes subs too late, and he doesnt really show urgency.

It's like Arsenal under Wenger in the later years at times.

We barely even pressed them second half, it was ridiculous.

Easiest point Palace will win all season.

We don't have a winning mentality. All that starts with the manager. He has to instill it based on his actions and tactics. He shouldnt accept any player pissing around with the ball at the back, he should change the shape to put on the pressure. He's just not good enough.

Only one that looked like he cared about winning was our goalie. Fecking embarrasing.

We were sleepwalking throughout that game. And Ole waited until the 75th minute to change things. I don't give a shit who the personnel is, fecking change things up if it's not obviously working. Nope, we were happy to play two CDMs against a Palace who didn't want to attack.

The managers mentality, tonight’s result was a loss in my books. We sacked LVG after he won the FA Cup so if we keep that same criteria then Ole should be gone tomorrow!

I know its annoying when some spare hundreds of miles away becomes an expert on body language, but FFS did any of them look bothered there? Maybe Rashford, just because he walked off so quickly? But the fecking captain looks fecking relieved that the game is over so he can finally have a whispered chat with some of his mates.

If ever there was a need for the hairdryer, my word. But which cnut on this team would give it out? Maybe Luke Shaw? But I imagine his mouth is full as he digs into the post-match snacks...

It’s not that he wants a draw - it’s the fact all he has is a ‘Plan A’.

he has his favourite players. He does rotate staring XI but then doesn’t make subs when it clearly isn’t working. He hangs on to the bitter end and makes a sub too late.

players on poor form - Ole doesn’t protect them. He tries the “play into form” tactic and on the end he drains them of confidence.

They probably think top 4 is sewn up. They are in for a rude awakening when they look at the table after we lose to City on Sunday.

It's a gentleman agreement. They don't attack us, we don't attack them.

Seriously though, I think they always think of the next game. There isn't much to play for in the League.

Tbh as soon as he switched Mctominay for Fred we struggled to bring the ball forward. Probably due to the fact he decided to play Mctominay further forward so Matic was the only one sitting. It's also the reason why Bruno had to drop deeper to collect the ball towards the end. Team is just badly coached and the subs were absolutely shocking.

Ole is saving his own skin. This whole idea he cares about the United ethos is manufactured rubbish. He’s played for the draw near the end for two games in a row now. I couldn’t help but laugh at the James for Cavani sub. Of course Ole wanted to keep the defensive shape rather than go for 3 points.

He could’ve just brought on James for Fred and kept Cavani on, a true match winner. It’s this cowardly approach that has any sensible supporter frustrated.

Cavani would have buried that chance that james missed.

In answer to the OP, the players think it is acceptable as Ole allows them to perform like this week in and week out without consequence. Guaranteed that Rashford will not be dropped after this latest train wreck of a performance.

I said it in another thread, has anyone ever seen a successful manager just sit in the dugout game after game? Honestly, I cant think of any. Ole doesnt do confrontation which I think is the biggest problem of all. He is probably half afraid to rip into players after tonight's performance.

It’s becoming our DNA. Sad that both manager & players are exuding much of the same vibe.

I go back to his comment that ‘we aren’t in a title race’ when we were top of the league. A United manager should not be saying that.

The sooner we accept that we just lack the quality the better. I mean as much as I love Fred's tenacity in certain games, he lacks the cutting edge to be a United player. Same could be said about AWB. Our transition from midfield to attack was tragically woeful.

Our reliance on Bruno as many on here suspected will cost us second place and maybe even third.

We’ll go to City and be happy to get a draw too. That would be three points from three games. What’s the fecking point? Go out and win one and lose the other two trying. At least have a fecking go.

Yes something was said to him about that as the week after he said we was still in with a chance, even though we all knew it was bollocks

That’s how I felt at the weekend, but it’s not just quality is it? It’s the fecking mentality too. We’d more than enough quality to try and win games against an awful Palace team and a mediocre Chelsea team.

I doubt Ole thinks a draw is acceptable vs a poor Crystal Palace.

But he's a Conservative manager who know he's keeping his job if we get top 4. So the mentality filters down to the players that as long as we keep on picking up the odd point and we end up in the CL spots then all is well.

Truly mad that we've had more goalless draws this season than we ever did during any season under LVG or Jose...

The lack of any coherent system when we can't hit a team on the counter is glaring and has cost us loads of points

You are probably right. I made the error of watching a few of our old games during the final few months of Fergie's tenure and even then the difference is night and day. Just in terms of energy and desire. Makes watching this lot pretty depressing

Ole and his coaching team probably point to only four losses in the league and get semis.

Draws are garbage results, would have been better off losing to the Chavs and beating Palace but no no the precious unbeaten away record is in tact.

Called lowering standards which the majority of the Ole In fans have accepted

Should never ever ever be accepted at a club of the size of Man Utd

Simple really, it's low standards and expectations.

But we're a moments team, Ole was waiting for something to click, bit like the Wolves game minus the jammy goal.
