A win against the top team and our city rivals - you decide to come onto the United forum to criticize Ole.Just...why?
Well this is the Ole place right? I thought we played very well this game, but we need a better manager to take the final steps.

I’m glad to read he’s getting some recognition in here! People tend to forget the work he’s done so far and performances like this whenever we draw/lose a game or go on a poor 2-3 games run. In general he’s done very well and performances like this prove that.

a proper summer should put us on track for properly challenging next year
He often gets recognition for things he does right and today he did a lot right. We were a bit lucky because we scored both goals at great times - very early goal which definitely gave us a big confidence boost and the second one just before City looked like they are getting closer and closer to score but all in all we played fine today and deserved to win. Also, our defensive record against big teams is very good which is worth pointing out. We "Ole outters" don't have problem admitting when he does something right. Seems like some of you think we desperately want us to lose games so we can come out here and bash Ole. It couldn't be any more farther from the truth. He does something right - he deserves a recognition for that. He does something wrong - he deserves a criticism. That's how it works and that's how it should work.

It is a forum and he has the right to to write whatever he wants whenever he wants as long he follows the rules. The result today does not change the bigger picture. We are looking to win trophies and we can all see Ole's limitations as a manager, we played many matches this season there we looked clueless against teams that sit back. Every Ole critic is basing his/her opinion on the collective run not one match or season. I do not think Ole can take the extra step we need for the major titles.

Yet you decide to come in here and say we need a better manager after we beat the league leaders who have won 21 games in a row.
Yes we didn't need one for today obviously since we won, but we need one to reach our potential. I could just comment on today and save the bigger picture I guess.

Still lots to be played, but last few weeks have been very annoying apart from the Europa league.

I am happy we won, but also annoyed we bottled this title race when we show we can be in it.

It is a good day though so hopefully we can build on it and beat Ac Milan.

Life is almost back to normal.
Feels refreshing that as a forum we can collectively take the piss out of Liverpool again. I had to put umpteen Liverpool threads on ignore the past few years, due to the cringy wank fest on here.

Of course, I think we should have done better in the league as well but we have to focus from now to the end and try to put a good run together and win the cups we are in and try to take City as far as possible in the league.

Agree what I hope is if we play against City in the cup we can perform like we did today.

When they start handing out trophies for beating the league leaders in a one off game, or most points in a calendar year, you may have a case. But not sure why tonight’s game is absolute proof that we have the best possible person in charge, given how dreadful other results & performances have been.

Fair enough, you can’t be arsed with the PE teacher/clueless remarks about Ole. I don’t blame you for getting annoyed at that, especially after tonight’s game. But don’t see what’s wrong with thinking that we could still be looking elsewhere to take that final step.

I don’t mind people coming in here posting their praise for the manager tonight. It’s the “top red” comments that think one game proves all the critics wrong. How many times over the past year have we seen this happen before it all goes tits up?

Today was down to Ole's tactics, once again he got it spot on against Pep. Proved a masterstroke being Martial back.

He needs to start working on a way to breakdown the teams with a low press, although once Pogba is back we will be more creative, at the moment Fred ends up in a more advanced role which really isn't his strong point.

But for now just enjoying the win

I have every right to go to Old Trafford and scream the alphabet backwards and drink my own piss. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be a weirdo if I did it.

Yes of course, I was only querying the timing straight after the game, the poster clarified his remarks afterwards so that’s fine. I’m still a bit peeved at the personal remarks made about Ole on here leading up to the game but you’ve covered that.

He should get us to play this way every game. We had quick tempo instead of the normal very slow start we used to do.

Agree. City have a very deep squad. We will do very well if we narrow the gap to respectable 4-5 points.
This is the point I have been making. Imagine the points we dropped to Sheffield United, WBA, Everton, West Ham and Palace. 15 points. Of which we only got 4. We would have gone equal to City or above them if we won these games. All of which we should have won.

Yeah frustrating we dropped so many points in games we should really win. Had we only got 2 wins from West Brom, Sheffield and Palace then we would at least be in with a title chance.

It’s annoying as feck but there’s nothing we can do about it so might as well just enjoy the win tonight. Hopefully City collapse, unlikely but let’s pray haha

Yes, bad winter patch cost us dearly.

But I’m tempted to think there are 2 halves of the season.

In the first half, we managed to make up for a bad start and were top of the table knocking off Liverpool who was crowned by the fans and media in autumn

Repeating the story in 2nd half would be sweet..

Wet dreams...

Every person on this forum know what you are! Have a good day.
Everyone does know me you are right. I’ve won funniest poster numerous times here. However, unfortunately people might not know you. Here’s a section of your “highlights” for people to peruse.
We parked the bus against this shitty City and our manager was celebrating the point as he said we "bounced back".
The clown should be fecking sacked in summer. because the damage is already done.
This. End of discussion. He is nowhere near a PL level of a manger. His level (at best) Championship.
He is a nothing manager, nothing wrong with that. Won nothing respectable in his life, his only achievement is convincing the stupid board he is the manager for Manchester united and I respect him for that, how he did he convince them with his small time CV? impressive.

You cant come here trying to convince anyone that a manager from the Norwegian league is capable of taking the greatest club in England back to the glory days. You should make a very very good case to convince anyone with that.
Ranieri is 10 times the manager Ole will ever be.
Everyday passes by and he is still the manager, he and his fanboys will drag the fans ambition more towards mediocrity. They will make up any shit to defend him and normalise mediocrity.
Remember last year's talk about start of a Liverpool dynasty.
Fecking Brighton couldnt hold on. Now we are back to 3rd, thank you Ole.

Mate, you are wasting your breath with that guy. As you’ve shown by his posts and hope everyone else can see as well, he is just a WUM with a personal agenda. Constant stream of vitriol against Ole and not interested in any discussion.

Doubtless these are just fair and valid concerns and points.

Calling Ole a clown, ffs. Hard to believe some of these people are United fans at times.
