Great win.

We're a brilliant counter attacking team, one of the best in Europe. Some good defending too.

Is Ole allowed to smile today or is he still not allowed?
Sack him. He smiled. We can't have that. Bring in Howe or Farke. That will show the world how good we are.

We have potential, but need a better manager to reach as high as we can.
The mentality under Ole is just not good enough. We always bottle it when it matters and raise the game when it matters much less.

Very good performance today and a good response to a terrible week before this game.
Need to see this for games when it really matters much more often.
Yeah, mentality. With this mentality we have we could never be 2nd. Ops. I mean never beat a ManCity team that won 21 games in row. Ops I mean...Just give it a break and stop moving goalposts everytime. Be happy that we won.

Great win, but let’s be real for a minute. These games get forgotten quickly when you let relegation candidates outplay you. If he gets the chance, has to start beating the minnows. This game doesn’t change my stance that we should look elsewhere at the end of the season.
Who have outplayed us this year? Except 6-1 blowout against Tottenham where we had to play with 10 men but before that we were better team?

Haha, this made me laugh a little. Peptonite.

Good plan and fantastic result. But imagine if we had won all the games we didn't win in the past few weeks? All matches we could have won. This show we can play good football. But for some odd reason we don't in a lot of games.
Because our players are still "young" and learning. Next season there will be lot better in that moment and we will challenge for the league.

I strongly believe the consistency will improve with some more leaders within the team, we are a very capable team, we just need to secure that consistency through a tad more quality signings and leaders.

Put a Roy Keane in that midfield (not only would he raise out quality massively) and I guarantee the levels would remain high through a season. We have nobody with that character other than Bruno to some extent.

We need improvements in a couple of positions and if one or two could be players with leadership and personality it would be a massive boost for us imo.

We weren't even counter attacking throughout the game. We won the ball high up time and time again from our press.
Ive noticed we are good at making it look like counters by the way we push everyone forward as soon as we nick the ball

2 nil win away to the champions elect and some of you still have to come in here to bicker. How sad

A+ from him tonight, there's nothing quite like the smug satisfaction of winning the Manchester derby. Let's hope we've derailed their season and they go on a 21 game loss streak.

Liverpool losing at home to Fulham and us beating City away is quite a satisfying Sunday indeed.

Can we just properly back this man this summer and find our way out of purgatory one way or another? I’m reminded after every big win how it means more with him helming us rather an old super manager. He deserves to have this club deliver real sustained investment to properly challenge.

Good thing about today is that it seems Pep hasn't learnt his lesson fully on how to face teams like us. Hopefully they just win the PL and rest of the teams they face in cups adopt our style.

Hopefully, this is the end of our stagnation. Need to finish strong. Winning the EL would make it a very good end to a turbulent season.

Still think Potter or Hasenhuttl would be better for Spurs once Mourinho gets sacked again.

Ole v Pep

Matches 9
United wins 4
City win 4
Draws 1

An even contest between Ole and the so called best manager in the world.
And City has fielded a significantly stronger team for most of these games as well.

Ole sure loves to play against Pep.

Credit where it is due. Ole was at his best today. Hopefully, we wont crumble again before the end of the season. Finishing second would be a good result, winning the EL along the way, would be awesome.

nobody before the game would say our squad is anywhere near citys in quality. if they do now its because they making excuses for a united win. city have embarrassing depth, no team in premiership history comes close
City have a better squad but at the same time our squad isn't as shit as some here making it out to be just to suit their narrative. We have a great squad and a lot of quality players.

A win against the top team and our city rivals - you decide to come onto the United forum to criticize Ole.Just...why?

I’m glad to read he’s getting some recognition in here! People tend to forget the work he’s done so far and performances like this whenever we draw/lose a game or go on a poor 2-3 games run. In general he’s done very well and performances like this prove that.

a proper summer should put us on track for properly challenging next year
