Didn't see him make one pass, looks completely off it, a liability. Never thought I'd say that about him.
Every time he gets it he just punts it forward. I think oles instructions have clouded his judgement, instead of doing it naturally he’s forcing it.

add to the fact he can barely stand up when pressed by their midfield, not looking good.

Its irrelevant how many goals Mctominay scores, he does not belong in a big club, he's a specialist in giving away possession, he always wants to take extra touches on the ball, he always passes to the opposition, he does not even screen the defence well enough, I'm still wondering what people see in him, I believe that with a player like him starting games we will never win a trophy at best he should be a substitute that comes on for the last five minutes in a game, that we are winning by two or three goals.
Honestly surprised someone with as poor technique as him made it through our academy.

FFS SCHOLES AND HARGREAVES. It makes no difference really if Milan score first. United still will need to score one to avoid going out.

I feel BT have been exceptionally kind to us recently. I said it before, we don't even seem to be moving easily. In Bruno's worst games, he's usually pressing, however today, he's been noticeably jogging. Rashford btw just looks really fragile at the minute.

McFred is about the worst pair of midfielders you can pair together if you want to play football.

Criminal how much they partner eachother.

If it was me I'd sell Fred in a heartbeat. McTominay has his uses.
That's the problem. You can play them if you decide to park the bus like an idiot and hope for one or maybe two counters (like we did in most games against better teams this season). But God help us if you are chasing a game with those.

Game. Apart from few counter attacks from Milan they haven't done anything. We are still in the game and have control over our destiny. We should get some chances in second half.

You come far with optimism. Being negative isn't that nice.

Why? Because my opinion doesn't suit yours? Freedom of speech.
Not being negative, being realistic. We are not in control of anything. If we were one up, we would be.

Get Pogba on. Let's have a bit of quality in there and stop embarrassing ourselves in Europe

In Fred, McT, AWB and James - almost half our outfield players lack the technical ability to be playing at this level.

Some days you can carry that with energy, or tactics etc. But tonight - we just can't work with that much inability to actually play football .

    It's genuinely embarassing.

Couple that with Rashford having one of those days where he decides he'd rather not play football and we're in a world of trouble.

All that said, no more Europa league if we lose and I really view that as a net positive.
This is spot on. These are no better than players like Pereira, Lingard and Young.

Honestly I think man for man they are quite similar in quality, the difference is the coaching philosophy, Milan are playing within themselves as after 15 minutes they realised actually we don’t have much at all to be scared of. We are completely nullified when chance creation comes down to finding a pass or moments of brilliance, we are nowhere near the level required in the final third.

MIlan are in complete control, we havent had a sniff of goal
Pogba on for fred To try and open them up. Bruno is struggling in midfield surrounded by negative nellies.

Far too sweeping. He's been integral to some of our best performances over the last couple of seasons but it's a shit performance from him tonight in the middle of a pretty poor run. We need different kinds of midfielders. We can't be as reliant as we are on Fred and McTom. We all know that. We need someone tonight who can dictate.

Players can't be arsed I'm not sure why I even bother waking up at 4am to watch this shower of shit
I find it fascinating that some of you do this. It's a chore watching even at 8pm when we perform like this

Yeah sooner or later Ole will realise that is where the real problem lies
Problem is, who is he going to replace them with in the current squad. The truth that people don't like to be honest about is....we don't need a centre back....we need 2 brand new centre midfielders if we sell Pogba. We can't build up anything because our midfielders are too afraid to recieve the ball in big high tempo games. For now, Matic and VDB are literally our only options and VDB hasn't yet proven to be useful...well this is his chance.

We should play Rashford and Greenwood in partnership with VDB on for James to play as a support striker.

Bring Pogba on for Mctomminay or Fred.

We could have Jesus Christ on the right. We'd still struggle because fullbacks contribute to the attack. Seriously. Look at the opposite side. Look at Shaw and how much he had contributed to our attack. You can't believe it because I haven't said it. If you have to debase this to a strawman argument then you should reflect on what you're saying. Here's a better idea. Name a top RB in the last 30 years as bad at attacking as AWB. I'll wait.
Without a proper RW ahead of them every RB we've ever had is shite at attacking. You think Gary Neville was good going forwards when he didn't have Beckham or Ronaldo ahead of him?

People think we’re too good for Europa yet we churn out dross performances like this.
Looking at the players starting tonight there's a big case that many of them wouldn't start at clubs like Villa. Milan's players are so much more comfortable with the ball at their feet.

It didn't "just go to shit".
AC got into their stride and have taken over. They are the better team for the last 30 minutes. We'll impressed with Jessie.
Yeah of course, they grew into the game and we went to shit! Kessie has been standout both legs. Class above anyone on the pitch.

To be fair to him he should have been awarded a penalty for his efforts.

Don't say that. He has a big fan club in Red cafe.
I know. Can’t for the life of me see why..

Be a decent squad player or coming on last 15 against a shite Carabao Cup tie but him starting every game says a lot about how rubbish we are at keeping possession. The guy can’t even push the ball a few metres in front of him and run with it. It’s embarrassing

I think we're really missing the option of Mata, he'd be perfect for this game, willing to put his foot on the ball and link things together rather than the one dimensional counters we've tried so far. Though he might've struggled with their physicality a bit.
