0-0. I thought they were going to play at a proper stadium though?

Yeah, it's just a cheap tactic that 99% of other professional teams don't use out of sheer decency and love of the beautiful game.

City, who spend most of the game on opposition half, attacking from every line, and scoring loads of goals = boring, because they don't share the ball. Very selfish!

Any other generic team that sit in their own half, afraid to commit, and waiting for snatch and grab = proper attacking football.
They’re a very boring side let’s be honest, I hate watching them play, obviously can be very pretty but my god the side to side rubbish is awful to watch.

Well pleasantly surprised by the performance but when you miss that many chances you’re never going through.

most annoying thing is having to back Madrid the rest of the way. If I didn’t have a Chelsea supporting brother who’s a prick it would have been them next. No surprise it’s mainly the oil clubs this year.

Qatar vs Abu Dhabi in one semi. Chelski-Real on the other. Anything but City now that Liverpool is out. I think a PSG - Real might be entertaining as a neutral. Rich bastards against even richer oil rich bastards.

2nd season in a row for Liverpool to have early CL exit at the hands of Madrid opposition. A decline from the two previous seasons.

Still on track for a PL final. Chelsea and Man City more than capable of beating both PSG, Real Madrid

Guardian not holding back
It always annoys me when an Englishmen talks about tyranies, look in the fecking mirror.

My annoyance with PSG and City is the fact that both these clubs were inconsequential on the European and domestic stage before a couple of rich arseholes decided to throw money at them and now they're one of the best clubs in Europe. It destroys the idea of building your club and dimishes the work done by the other great European teams to get where they are today. Any fecking club can be a European super club in a few years if another rich guy decides he wants to play football manager with them.

You can actually trust Madrid to get a job done, not sure about Dortmund.

I thought Haaland would really show himself today but it was not be be. Thankfully Neymar and Mbappe are on ground to feck them over

Nothing special in that city team
City had full control in that 2nd half and just kept the ball rolling in the team to be fair...It was easy to see that City is level or two above them. And even though PSG has Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria on top, City plays better football, have a better midfield and defense. Their attacking players is pretty alright too, they score a good amount of goals. Think they also have better depth in the squad. So I fair City will win it over 2 matches unless PSGs trio are on fire and set their chances. City will definetly have most posession so PSG has to set the chances they get for sure.

Without following them very regularly, I would say that Liverpool do not maintain that physical exuberance of 2 years ago. They were dangerous but it has not been a siege.
Madrid very passive but understandable after a very long week. Militao very well. Important for Odriozola to get a few minutes for his confidence.Good detail from Zidane
We definitely don’t, it’s a massive worry probably bigger than the cb injuries. Have to hope a break and some fresh legs will help but we’ve not got the same physicality that can make us a nightmare to play against on our best days.

Anyways hala Madrid the rest of the way.

I would say people like you contributing to your own club underachieving is a lot worse.
Sorry I personally contributed to my club underachieving. That’s worse, apparently. Congrats for fecking up football

Shame City game got ruined by VAR deciding the natural position for your arm is behind your back when stooping low and forwards to head the ball. Deary me.

Handball, offside and VAR generally are a shambles after last few seasons meddling by IFAB.

Given you pretty much admit you prefer owners like the Glazers over ones that actually invest in their club/team yes you are very much complicit in the fact your club are underachieving.

Yeah, I don't enjoy watching Peps teams usually but this City team are probably the worst watch.
On a positive note, the way PSG setup v Bayern does remind me of the way we have setup v City, but with arguably the two best attackers in the world. So I think there’s some hope.

For me, they're one of the most entertaining sides to watch. Their technical quality is top, football is fluid, and records speak for themselves. Not their fault most other teams decide to play anti-football when facing them.

Went out R16 last year and lost both matches over two legs, went out quarters scored an away goal and got a draw this season. Progress!

Definitely, it’s my responsibility. I definitely wanted the glazers to feck our club over. By your rationale. Financial doping should indeed be the way forward. feck the consequences on the rest of football.

Yeah I'm baffled at that. The co-commentator kept harping on about his arm being in an unnatural position. I accept that Can could've kept his arm at his sides but common sense needs to be applied. If anything, trying to head the ball in that situation with your hands on your sides or at your back is the actual unnatural position.

What's really pissing me off is none of the team's in the quarters look all that better than us.
Spot on! We showed in the group stage against PSG that we can compete at this level.

I really hope we finish second and win europa because that’s a huge confidence boost and milestone for a growing and young side.
