Southgate would be abysmal. Fantastic for the NT, though. ... Until we replace him with Aidy Boothroyd

Cheeky punt on Stevie G to see if he can handle the step up before inevitably crawling back to the festering dump?

Haven’t read the replies but I can see Eddie Howe at Spurs. Either him or Allegri whose name is always in the hat but never seems to go anywhere. I wouldn’t even rule out Conte.

Graham Potter will be an interesting one imo. I would like to see what he can do with his xG on much better players than Brighton. Spurs would be an ideal test to see that. Potter needs ball playing centre backs, very good wingbacks going forward, and forwards that can finish.

Lloris
J.Andersen Aldeweireld Botman
M.Aarons
Hojbjerg - Ndombele Reguilon
Lo Celso/Alli
Jimenez - Son
I think that‘s a good and interesting team under Potter.
Likes of Lamptey and Ben White could follow him I reckon, think Bissouma has already been linked with Spurs aswell.

I agree I'd be surprised if Spurs pull off any top level manager this summer. Guess Ten Haag could be classed as one and he's been at Ajax a fair while so suspect he'll want to move on soon but feels like he'll end up in Bundesliga and Leipzig job available. Allegri mentioned managing in England a few times but he'll wait to see if Pirlo gets sacked.

Still though half the managers in prem would jump at chance of taking over team who could still be in europa and get to work with Kane for possibly one more year so if they look a bit lower they'll still be plenty of interest.

Dutch media are naming Erik ten Hag as a possible candidate. Hearing him mumble on in Dutch is grating enough, I cant imagine the horror of hearing the charisma vacuum numpty sleak English. Tactically strong though.

Can't see any top coach wanting this job. Need a rebuild and they have no money. Back to no mans land for Spurs.
People say that kind of stuff a lot (or the alternative 'back to mid-table), but we haven't finished outside the top 6 for 12 to 13 years now. You have to go back to the dark days of Alan Sugar to find the mid-table spurs, to be honest.

If I was a higher up at Spurs, he’s the one I’d choose.

He would be mad to take this job surely? Its a big job needed that could undo all the good rep he's building at Rangers, before the job he wants comes free.

The squad is good when they can be a**#d, when they were actually playing for Jose he had them sitting top of the table. I do think the squad needs a bit of a clean out however, for fresh young talent, players that have been there too long like Sissoko, Lamela, and those whose careers are going nowhere like Winks, Alli need to be moved on. Those four moving on and Kane going could net the next manager serious reinvestment money in the squad. Kane say 100mil, 50mil for Sissoko, Winks, Alli, Lamela.

Then start the rebuild process around a few seniors and a bunch of talented young players. If I was Spurs Id be looking at the next big thing in strikers after Haaland and Mbappe. His main competition for a starting spot in the first team is Vinicius if Kane goes, even if he is 18 or so not exactly stiff competition.

Sean Dyche would be a great fit for Tottenham.
He should leave Burnley this summer (before he becomes Alan Curbishley). He's done spectacularly well there, it's clear the players really play for him, he exudes intelligence, confidence and leadership. Tottenham wouldn't dare though. Of course the naysayers will be quick to denigrate the style of his Burnley team, and just as quick to ignore his annual transfer spending of twelve pounds.

Yeah agree however I’m sure Liverpool will want to see him tested in a much stronger league before giving him the job.

Howe or Potter would be the best candidates IMO.

Sven-Goran Eriksson, with Daniel Levy embarking on a Home Alone-esque escapade to secure his signature.

Goid, but why? If he changed his name to Brendoni Roget, would he appeal more?
Because he is such an arse that even as an Ulster man I simply can't stand the sight of the prick. I normally am pleased when my fellow countrymen do well for themselves.... can't stand him.

Not a chance they get Brendan Rodgers. Why on earth would he quit Leicester now? If their positions were reversed, he would 100% leave - he's ambitious enough. But Leicester are currently good enough to meet his ambitions and maybe even go further. He'd be starting again at Spurs.

I can see Levy following the vogue and appointing a younger up and coming manager, personally. There's a few good shouts out there - Daniel Farke at Norwich, Marco Silva at Sporting Lisbon, that sort of appointment. Partly because Levy is a massive egotistical bellend and thinks he can play at being Roman Abramovich - and partly because they are cheaper. Spurs should never ever have sacked Poch.

Fair enough. I dont get the widespread hate for the man though. He always seems quite classy when dealing with the media, and I know that he will always have a chat with a fan, and the obligatory photo.

Not sure if he's been mentioned yet. But, a boyhood fan and given how highly he thinks of the club. There is only one man for the job.

So, I was going to suggest Spurs might try to cut out the middle man and hire Marsch directly from Salzburg, but kicker claim he turned down Spurs and takes the expected Red Bull route.
