I get it cheap with BT internet although I imagine that might go, won't be a bad thing as I'm stuck on the package cos the internet makes the BT Sports so cheap! (Fiver a month compared to about 35 I think) and then internet is awful.I work for BT and get BT Sport for free. For that reason alone, I hope it doesn't happen.
But it was the 'brainchild' of Gavin Williamson, who was pushed out of the door a couple of years ago, and shares have nosedived ever since it was brought in, so it's not surprising that they're looking to get rid of it.
Dazn are apparently the favourites and have been making a play at a lot of sports, they have matchroom boxing done apparently so I'd say they would be more competitive for Sky, especially if the price is afforadable.Great, back to sky having a monopoly and not showing as many games as they should.
Hope Amazon buy the rights to the games they show.
Also hope whoever buys them gets LaLiga back on there.
sorry.
according to the financial times, a newspaper in the uk that is pink but not feminine, bt sports is up for sale. they hope to find a buyer.
It’a not on Sky to choose how many games are sold for UK TV rights.Great, back to sky having a monopoly and not showing as many games as they should.
Hope Amazon buy the rights to the games they show.
Also hope whoever buys them gets LaLiga back on there.
Refresh the page, then press quickly escape.Doesn't look like it. I definitely haven't read the Financial Times yet today and I can't view it without a subscription.
Bring back NTLBring back Setanta Sports
Was much better when everything was on Sky and you didn’t need multiple subscriptions. Will be interesting to see whether they bid for CL rights again.Great, back to sky having a monopoly and not showing as many games as they should.
Hope Amazon buy the rights to the games they show.
Also hope whoever buys them gets LaLiga back on there.
Agreed. So long as the rights are not sold to a streaming only service, I won't care.
Watching football on Amazon is shite.
Or even fecking Amazon.Have Netflix been mentioned when bidding for football rights?
I’m already a prime subscriber so Amazon would be great for me, £7.99 for the football & a big video library & free next day delivery, as opposed to £40 a month for virgin just to watch the football.Or even fecking Amazon.
Id pay a higher subscription If Redknapp and Souness get the boot as well.Whoever promises to fire Jenas gets my vote.
Is that official? I was wondering why sky started promoting it & uploading videos on it when it’s a BT exclusive in the UK. Would make sense.UFC going to Sky now Eddie Hearn has pulled the plug on the boxing..
If they got the BT package it would deffo increase.I’m already a prime subscriber so Amazon would be great for me, £7.99 for the football & a big video library & free next day delivery, as opposed to £40 a month for virgin just to watch the football.
Because @Niall will get in trouble. Why would you start a thread linking an article which is behind a pay wall, without copying the text?
From the headline alone, maybe Amazon will buy them?
In the past though we’ve had to pay top ridiculous prices to sky to see about a third of the games. It’a not on Sky to choose how many games are sold for UK TV rights.
No I’m just guessing but it seems like the right move to do.Is that official? I was wondering why sky started promoting it & uploading videos on it when it’s a BT exclusive in the UK. Would make sense.
Yeah I would be happy if everything was on one subscription however a lot of the time you would have games that weren’t televised. That improved when other providers took on other games to broadcast as well (as long as you had both subscriptions of course.)Was much better when everything was on Sky and you didn’t need multiple subscriptions. Will be interesting to see whether they bid for CL rights again.
Hopefully this means we’ll get rid of Darren Fletcher, Jenas, Mcmanamanananan etc. Just awful pundits.
Since Sky no longer have a monopoly it's become more expensive to watch football. You have to have a Sky account, a BT account and even an Amazon account now to cover all bases unless you use rivers.Great, back to sky having a monopoly and not showing as many games as they should.
Hope Amazon buy the rights to the games they show.
Also hope whoever buys them gets LaLiga back on there.
