There’s different components to it.

I’ll bet virtually everyone in here agrees with the protests, but only some condone the criminality part.
It's used to criminal to be a homosexual.
The law isnt always right. And following some laws In some situations isnt always the right thing to do.

It's a question of morality more than anything else trespassing into old Trafford and onto the pitch and the few bits of minor vandalism are all criminal acts, but have they hurt anyone? No,have they got the point across? Yes,Got exposure for the protest? yes, is the protest fair and just? Yes. Then morally it's all good and really that's all that matters.

The law and morality dont always go hand In hand.

Also, what is the expectation here? That they sell the club, to whom? Give up the rights to control the club to the fans? What is the proposed solution?

I understand in principle we would be better off with owners who aren’t focused on milking the club but it doesn’t really seem like we have that option now. There’s no group/person who has been proposing to buy us out anyway. I’d definitely not want us to be owned by Saudis.

I'm just pissed off the game is delayed, negotiated with the wife earlier to leave me in peace for a couple of hours while I drink a few and don't have to listen to the kids.
Feck sake.

This looks like good intentions ruined by drunk idiots. They're only really punishing the players and coaches this way, plus the global fan base if we get a point deduction. Football fans being football fans.

Souness with the unpopular opinion, but he's absolutely correct. Glazers have invested billions into the club, of course they want a return. Fans are running based on emotions alone.
Souness says this because he's thinking in terms of United being a top six club. We are the most famous club in the world, and traditionally have been the richest club in Britain, and some years the world.
The ground is falling into disrepair, and we embarrass ourselves every year trying to sign players below the selling value. It is the world's biggest club owned by people who cannot afford to own it.

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
Unfortunately the only ones getting affected by such an act though is the team and management staff who are blameless in the glazers actions
The whole club, including the owners, players and staff are impacted.

Also, the Glaziers were in charge when every single player and coach signed their contracts at Man United. They're not the cause of the Glaziers actions but they're most certainly complicit and enable it.

To be honest, I expected a lot worse. Thankfully the couple people lunging at security and smashing cameras up, seem to have been a couple only. The organisers on this have to insist on this being doing peacefully.
Well, they lost control pretty quickly it seems. Why would this make the Glazers even think about leaving?

Local fans, yeah, true reds who can express their view on the club - others can't.
Not sure what exactly what you're saying here, but the way you said they are 200 drunken idiots was abit unfair was it not?

That type of comment confirmed to me that you are talking out your arse.

This has been a peaceful protest with the absolute minimum of damage done.
The idea its a bunch of drunken louts smashing property up is ludicrous. As far as peaceful protests go so far its been almost exemplary.

Sod's law mate. I dare say a few of us were looking forward to a double header with the Tottenham game too.

Not the point. If the Glazers ignore, fine. But the Government have the power to change the law so ownership structures of clubs change to ensure fans have the ultimate say in the boardroom ensuring they are consulted and moves like their attempt to form a European Super League with others doesnt happen.

If the Glazers wont listen the authorities in this country will.

The Glazers only apologised because the Liverpool owners did. And their fake 'we want to communicate' is just that. Fake.

Clubs have to be protected from abusive owners.
Exactly, this all adds pressure on the government this is deeply important to the country. Rather than let it fizzle out after the SL was no threat anymore

Hopefully it was just the Sky cameras that got wrecked. We've suffered through much worse from aggressive away fans lets be honest

ps does your wife know enough about football to know how long a game is?

If it starts at 6, you can legitimately say it's "still on" by 730

I keep seeing people bemoaning drunken louts, but I haven’t been watching much of the coverage… exaggerations then?
