I'm just going on The Caf
Very enjoyable second half, Shaw and Pogba combined so well down that left hand side. Only downside was the injury to Maguire which hopefully is nothing serious.

This going one down is so bad for my nerves. Only Leeds and Southampton have been games I have been able to really relax watching us. Hope we improve on it next year!

Sloppy at various points in the first half, but we seemed to settle down much more when we got that first goal. We always seem to play better when we're losing or when we're up against it, which isn't a terrible quality to have at all. But, I'd love to just see us score earlier goals because we look so much more steady once we've got that first one.

Pogba has been brilliant for us this season and I thought he was great against today. I want some sort of miracle drug that can reverse-age Cavani. What a player.

Villa are no pushovers, so to get the 3 points away is a great result.

What I like is now that we are not too rely on Bruno & Rashy as we were in the first half of the season. Pogba, Cavani and Greenwood have stepped up.

Played well, even when we went behind we had still been decent. Shaw probably the stand out and another goal for Cavani.

The teams mentality and resilience is probably the biggest progression this season, we no longer panic when we go behind, we just keep probing and find our chances, it was great to get the 3rd and kill them off rather than just seeing the game out.

Although we went a goal down, which has been the norm this season, I never really worried.

Despite not getting many shots on target, we were getting into good positions, and all it needed was the right decision in the final third to get us back into the game.

Thankfully, we didn't need to work too hard for the equaliser, following a rash decision by Luiz.

Once we levelled, I had no doubt in my mind that we were going to win the game.

Two super finishes from Greenwood and Cavani, respectively.

Overall, good game.

Seriously, we should just offer to forfeit the first half with 1-0 to the opponent. It would spare us a lot of energy.

Lindelof is probably the biggest fraud after Darmian but at least the Italian didn't cost that much. Shambolic by Ole if he keeps playing him. Just fecking sell him.

McTominay nothing player, wouldn't start for any of the TOP15 teams in the league, can't control the ball anticipate pass, he's just there to make numbers. Great he stepped up when we needed him, now it's time to upgrade him.

Cavani' s a top player, only sums up 33 yo, outperforms massively Martial - "the golden boy"

Greenwood great finish, Rashy's great assists from aunnatural role.

People blaming Fred for the first goal, jesus christ  nice one touch lay off to on his heels asleep McTominay. Been in great form recently bar a couple of mistakes, pretty much 5th defender every time we need to defend and cover, and in seconds he's on the other side of the pitch always available always closing down space and quick play to complement more "keep the ball" players.

Pogba is great, let's just nto play him deep, it's even worth shifting Rashford on the right. clever play for the pen, although stupid from Luiz.

Hendo kinda lucky, I think Watkins dived yeah but one of those situations where he could get a nasty one if he didnt anticipate it. Shouldn't be a booking imo. very harsh for second yellow.

Fingers crossed for HM to be fit I can see Lindelof leaking goals with Bailly without any run of games too.

Looking at the current league table, I think that win cements Top 4 unless West Ham win all their games and score a shitload of goals.

EDIT: West Ham will play a game more as of today, so Top 4 confirmed regardless

I’m quite relaxed about us going behind these days. Never felt in doubt we’d win this game.

I genuinely think I’m more comfortable 1 - 0 down at HT than 0 - 0 at this point.

Exactly. Its like each of them just muttered a few sentences and its the commercials. :houllier:
Clearly we cheated by postponing the Liverpool game and giving our players a bit of a breather (despite the fixture congestion to come) after a long season.

I think they should dock us 10 points, just for winning today.

Great to get the win, but if we're being honest, Villa gifted us a way back into the match, and from there on out, we grew into it.

Allows us to heavily rotate on Tuesday ready for Thursday.

It's infuriating.
That's because United are click bait. They had their headlines and talking points ready 'United in crisis' 'In danger of missing top four' yada yada yada

We can start by stop clicking on articles etc.

Get in. Would have been a disaster dropping points in this one.

Maguires injury is a massive concern.

Are we not guaranteed top 4 with that win by the way?

Teamtalk right there
Isn't that what SAF told Scholes and Rooney? Just pass to RVP or else I am taking you guys off. For players like that all you need is to put the ball in the right areas. They will get there to score.

On Sky they said we needed 4 points from the last five games.

We were undeserving to go into half time 1.0 down. 3 errors and a shot from an impossible angle. Lindelof was poor all game.Thought we got in behind them numerous times but a poor final ball and not enough bodies in the box was annoying. Second half was cruise control. We played in 2nd gear. Pogba and awb were immense.

Great result - we seemed to have it under control even after we went a goal down. Wasn’t a game we dominated but played the crucial moments very well and found the openings. Some specific comments:

- Cavani: we start to look a better team when he comes on. There is just something in his game which elevates our play. He shows what we have been lacking at 9 in the same Bruno showed what we lacked at 10 after he joined.

- Pogba / Fred / Rashford: Good solid games.

- Bruno - looks tired. Rest against Leicester would be good. He really shouldn’t have played against Roma

- Maguire: Hope he is ok.

- Lindelof - seriously poor game. Shocking how easily he gets beaten in duels and not just aerial ones.

- Mason: There is something in the way he takes his shot. Some of them are not even that clean or placed that well but seem to beat the goalkeeper.
